Well as you probably already know, there are around 30 TaleSpin comics available on this page :
/talespin ... &id_film=9It's pretty interesting you're asking this because I planned on doing some inventory of all the TaleSpin comics books that have been released.
Here's a quick summary of the comics/books I'm aware of (from memory) :
* Books :- 4 hardcovers (Mommy for a day, Her Chance to Dream, The Old Man and the Sea Duck, Captain's outrageous)
- 1 Little Golden Book "Ghost ship"
- 2 little books that came with audio discs
- 3 hardcovers books released only in France (which I have yet to scan), and 1 other very rare that I already put on the site. Yet another one is a reprint from a USA comic.
* Comics :-
4 "limited issues" (Plunder & Lightning) and
7 regular issues from
Disney Publishing. They went out of business in 1991 due to the "comics crash", which unfortunately led to the cancellation of all the Disney Afternoon titles they released at the same time, a shame considering I read that the TaleSpin books sold pretty well and were the most critically acclaimed at the time.
- They also published 1 TaleSipn comic in "Holiday Parade" ("Shine a little light", which is already on the site)
- After "Disney publishing" went out of business,
Marvel took over and ran a
"Disney Afternoon" magazine (!!! if only history could repeat itself

) which ran for 10 issues. Not many TS comics in these though, they mostly did Darkwing Duck. People weren't too impressed with the quality of their comics though. But I have no doubt a LOT has changed in 20 years...
- The
"Disney Adventures" magazine included TaleSpin comics. It ran until the end of the 2000's (!!!) but they stopped doing TaleSpin comics around 1996. I think it's the magazine that produced the most TS comics (around 15 maybe?) even if they're often short.
- Multiple issues of "Disney Colosseum" included TaleSpin comics (but I think these are reprints from the "Disney Adventures" magazine)
- Multiple issues of "
Le Journal de Mickey" in France included TaleSpin comics that (I think) have never been released outside. They were done by the "Comicup" studio from Spain, which I believe are STILL making comics to this day. There were around 10 comics (maybe a little less)
The USA comics were also reprinted in the french magazine "Disney Club Vacances".
I wouldn't be surprised that other TaleSpin comics have been released outside of the USA (and France), but obviously they're harder to get. At least, considering the poor work Disney France did on translating the show, it's amazing to see they did many TaleSpin books/comics only for the french market.
Finally, check the INDUCKS search engine to find a list of most TaleSpin comics that have been published :
