I’ve had a number of requests from people who’d like to make my dark stallion, Fear, a mate. So I thought it might be nice to make a contest for his mate; that way everyone who wants to gets an equal chance.
About
Fear:
The son of The Tyrant, Fear is a 17.3 hh blood bay Clydesdale cross. With his father he has attacked the Cimarron Herd many times, and is now a Guard in The Preytal Herd. However, spending time in the herd and especially with its Lead Mare, Valkea, has made him want a female of his own, preferably with the same morals, or lack of, as him.
Fear is a typical all brawn and no brains stallion. He’s highly suggestible, bordering on naïve, and he’ll do anything his leaders, or mate, tell him to. He enjoys using his considerable strength to overpower and attack other horses and animals, but he’d like to have someone special to share his victories with. The only time he’ll act out of his own initiative is if anyone suggests he’s stupid. If that happens, watch out. Fear becomes a juggernaut of fury, and cannot be stopped until he’s run out of steam.
What he’s looking for:A mare that fawns all over him, totally adores him and will never leave him for another
HOWEVER that doesn’t mean that your mare has to be like that. Remember: he is highly suggestible and has spent his whole life taking orders. It would not be unusual if he ended up with a controlling, manipulative mate…
Rules:• Your mare must accept that Fear is a dark, cruel horse that will not change
• Your mare must accept that she will not be a part of Fear’s herd. This is because he doesn’t have his own herd, but is part of a herd (run by a member who isn’t currently active and therefore can’t accept his mate into the herd). However, they will live together, whether this is away from the herd or nearby it.
• Must have a well written, well thought out way that he meets her. This could be anything from stealing her from another herd or ranch, to her stalking him or even attacking him…
• Breed, colour, size and age are all open for you to decide. However, remember that he is a BIG stallion, so a little mare might have trouble carrying his foal or defending herself if he gets angry
• Whether they have foals or not is entirely up to you
• Respect other members and contest entries
• If you use a free lineart/blank render or background, you MUST credit the original artist
• If your mare is chosen as his mate you must get her profile up quickly. I am tired of people asking to make mates for my characters and then never getting their pages up.

Runners Up: Will be Fear’s crushes, and, if they want to, can join his father, The Tyrant’s, herd
