Ok, did you know that Bambi was originally published in Austria as Bambi. Eine Lebensgeschichte aus dem Walde (Bambi, A Life in the Woods- that was the English title) it was a 1923 Austrian novel written by Felix Salten and published by Paul Zsolnay Verlag.

Did you know that an entire sequence was produced for Bambi that involved him stepping into an ant pile, and then showing the damage he created and the time it took to rebuild it? Disney himself deleted the sequence because it dettered from the plot.

A follow up novel titled 'Bambi's Children' was made in 1939. It was actually adapted by Disney into comic book form later on, according to a Disney biography an actual film adaption was planned, but never passed early stages.

Did you know, that Bambi sets his Story in Maine? The Area of Mount Katahdin and Baxter State Park was the inspiration of it. The greatest thing is, you can see in the Movie the Mount Katahdin. As Bambi looks at night down to the Hunters Camp. Far in the Background you see a Mountain with two Tops that filled a big Part of the Background. This Mountain is to 100% The mount katahdin. A problem is to get the Perspective because the Katahdin looks in 90% not similar to the Mountain in the Movie. I have Checked that a few times with all kinds of perspective. To get the same Perspective, I got this view matching finally if you look at it from Lunskoos Mountain. Bambi must have been on this Mountain to get this View. The Lunskoos Mountain has a Large Rocky Outcrop like in the Movie.
