I don't normaly have a problem with people posting comments, (It's the guest comments to be exact) but this is where I think there needs to be an option to disbale comments. I'm mainly meaning for mods and site builders to have this option.

Character comments is my main concern. I don't mean fan characters, but the official ones. I say this why? Because there is a guest on LATTS who keeps posting on Buster's character page adding this stupid comment: "Make Buster X Dixie story." Or anything anything else to go along with it.

It's not only LATTS, I've seen it on O&Cs too. I'm not sure if it's the same guest or not, I doubt it, but this other guest's comments are comparing the character to something else. At least that isn't so bad, but the guest is still spamming, as I've seen these comment numorus times.

Examples:
/balto/en ... s/157.html
/oliver/e ... 15352.html
/oliver/e ... 15383.html
/lion_kin ... u/167.html

This is where I say there should be an option to disable comments. Really, on a page like this, there really isn't a need for comments. The only comments you will tend to get are spammy ones anyway.

I totally agree. It would probably be better for everyone if official characters didn't have the option to comment. It's not like people go through reading the entire thing anyways... and it's an invitation for spam.

I just found a GOOD example to as of why I think the guest comments should be disabled. I know this really doesn't pertain to this topic, but it stands as an example.

This is ridiculous, a group of friends I assume, were using the Balto II soundtrack page as a private chat. This went on for two pages.

Really, if they want to chat, they can create accounts and chat in the shout box all they want. :)

I think that comments should be disabled in movie information, screenshots etc. It's un-needed. We have forums if you want to discuss.

The only place I think they belong in is: The fan content, profiles, and articles. Maybe some other exceptions, but like you said, if they want to discuss something, they can make accounts and use the forums. Leaving the comments open on certain pages is just a spam invention.
