There's a rumor going on that Disney Channel is going to broadcast a "new" Disney Afternoon program this December.
Going to the source of that rumor, it seems someone added that on Wikipedia recently :

"In 2012 Disney Channel announced that The Disney Afternoon has been revived and that it will launch later in 2012."

Obviously I don't give credit to this because anyone can change a Wikipedia page.
But, who knows? If not this year, it may still happen one day, especially since Nick's "90's are all that" is still very successful.

I'm suspicious and excited at once. Suspicious, 'cause there's no reliable link to the source of this info. And excited, 'cause if it's true, I'd register into one virtual TV in order to watch my fav Talespin! XD And some new fans would be here in our site!... But I'm still suspicious... Gyaah! Sheer ambivalence!

Now that I think about it, the new Disney Afternoon pin's are going to be released in December 2012. (and that one is certain)
So either this isn't a coincidence, or that release is the source of that (probably wrong) rumor.

This screams "FAKE" obviously, but I just can't help posting it. Just in case, even if there's a 0.00000001% of this being true...

No doubts there,it most certainly does scream fake.

The person who did it is a liar... He played on our hopes and dreams! Friends, let's give him / her a lesson!

What's weird is that he has a lot of other videos recorded with a camera with very bad quality, and most seem legit...
And, in the song, I don't remember the last "Disney Afternoon" part with the voice like that?

Yeah, that looks like an original 1990s tape. I too would really like to see DA come back, but I haven't seen any authentic promos on Disney Channel yet . . . and it's already past mid-October, so you would think that they would start promoting it now, if they want to get an audience by December :\

Was 101 Dalmatians: TV Series on Disney Afternoon?


I remember when I was just flipping channels, and I paused on Disney Channel.
Playing on Disney Junior bright and early, eight o' clock in the morning, what was the least expected was playing on TV- the 101 Dalmatians.
Though, it only played a few times on Friday's, and then- it stopped playing.


But, still, if they can make that kind of come-back with 101 Dalmatians, can't they at least try to do the same with Talespin?

Yes, I believe it was part of the Disney Afternoon in its late years - though when people talk about "The Disney Afternoon", this is not the kind of show they refer to. They mean Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, Goof Troop. After Quack Pack came out, the Disney Afternoon lost a LOT of its appeal because this show ruined everything that made them great.

I'm not sure TaleSpin could air on Disney Junior - at least some episodes. Like the one where Wildcat and Molly are put in jail and the guard says "if you've got any complaints, just tell us and you'll be shot repeatedly" (and many more examples like that) Unless they would censor a lot.

Nope; the Disney Afternoon stopped at the end of the 1996 season with The Mighty Ducks being the last new show. 101 Dalmatians was the first show on the One Saturday Morning block and later ABC Kids. Let's just say Jim BURIED 1997 and be done with it. As for TaleSpin on Disney Junior: I doubt it. There is no way TaleSpin can air on that channel even in the Toon Disney version: Guns, bombs, explosions, racist stereotypes, and Kit Cloudkicker himself pretty much nullifies almost every episode in that series. Her Chance To Dream is probably the only episode they could show; and even that one would face minor edits. I just don't see it. Thank goodness 54 episodes are on DVD uncut because if they even try to bring the series to Disney Junior; it would be hell to try to edit.
