As you probaly know very well, Don Bluth is the maker of All Dogs go to Heaven but do you know of the other films he made?
I thought I'd tune you into them!

Okay, very first film... he didn't actually make these of course but helped with them... would you believe it? Winnie the Pooh's most grand adventure! He also helped with Sleeping Beauty.
His first own film was Banjo the Woodpile Cat, a short (30 minute) film which was more to teach children about learning to behave.

Others that were well known were; An American Tale (not including it's sequels or TV Show)

This was his very first strike on his own which was, very successful.
Another great hit was 1988's the Land Before Time (not including sequels and TV Show) which won an award for the longest running stream of films that was still successful.

One more brilliant film was the Pebble and the Penguin, made in 1995 . It was VERY similar to Happy Feet (coughing- copied! aherm!) here is the trailer...

I'm surprised I didn't realize sooner the ties he had between TLBT and An American Tale. The others took me by complete surprise.

Would like to ask though that you change the color of the text or just get rid of it [keep black]. It makes it difficult to read.
...and I don't know if it's my lousy internet here or that the videos aren't working.

More links to where you got your information would make this more interesting as well, but overall, it's a good topic.

Dude, there's also his first full length film Secret of NIMH, which is very underrated but I highly recommend it.

Also he did The Small One, which was when he was still involved with Disney. He was also animation director in The Black Cauldron, Robin Hood, The Rescuers, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Fox and the Hound, which he wasn't credited for.

Banjo the Woodpile cat is a cute cartoon. He animated the videogames Dragon's Lair 1 and 2, and Space Ace. He also animated a short clip from that god-awful movie Xanadu. His animation was the most interesting part of the film.

His lesser-appreciated films include Rock-A-Doodle, Thumbelina, Troll in Central Park, Pebble and the Penguin, and Titan AE.

He also directed Anastasia and altho inaccurate and a Disney knock-off (this is not considered an insult) was still a great movie, which some amazing songs and animation.

It's a bit of a shame that Don Bluth hasn't done anything since then. At the very least, it's been a few music videos and one foreign film that had very little to do with him (so says IMDB). :/ I was kinda hoping he'd whip out the 'Dragon's Lair' film at some point. The guy must be pushing about 70 or 80 by now.... he better hurry now.

What's also sad is how his films usually end up in the bargain bin. Supposedly a film like AAT made at least a good amount of cash flow for Universal, but I don't see any Special Editions between a cheap 'I and II' movie compilation with a few kiddie games inside.

When i was younger, Land Before Time and its sequels were my favourite movies, along with Balto and ADGTH and Disney Classics. I also had The Segret of Nihim on VHS, but i remember it scared me the first time I saw it, probably because of the enormous spider and the old owl.

I really admire Don and all his works. If you are interested, he has a YT account where he publish some videos giving tips about animation: http://www.youtube.com/user/DonBluthProductions

I know that he made other films. He also made Rock-A-Doodle and the Secret of NIMH.

When I was younger, I never payed attention to who directed the films, I just watched them ^^ But when I got older, I realized that Don Bluth directed The Land Before Time, The Secret of NIMH and The Secret of NIMH 2 (?), We're Back, I think he directed all of the American Tail films, All Dogs Go to Heaven, Titan A.E, which took me by surprise; I would have never dreamt of him making that film!

Where are you getting your information from? Lmao half of it isn't true.

He wasn't involved in that poo-heap called Secret of NIMH 2, nor was he involved with We're Back or any American Tail films outside of the first movie. We're Back and Fievel Goes West were Steven Spielburg films. I already listed his works in my first post xD
