The hunt isn't starting yet!

This post will be locked and unstickied when the hunt starts but for now just use it for casual chatting and sharing ideas.

What I would appreciate is 1 or 2 people to help get the challenges all written up (there need to be plenty amirite?) and people to volunteer to be judges.
Judges just count up the total points each team has to determine the winning team.

People helping set up challenges and judge cannot join a hunt team, so keep that in mind! ;D

Most needed is people to donate prizes. For this to be really awesome there needs to be awesome prizes but I', limited in what I can offer.

What would you like the prizes to be? Like, any examples?

Ohemgee! An idea!!! LOL Okay... Can animationsource.org host websites? If yes, that'll be one idea for prizes... Like, the winning team, it's members, would win a host for their website on AS...How's that?

I doubt steet would go for that. xD It'd be a bit difficult to accomplish.

So far I only have art prizes I can offer & news features on the AS news.

Oh, okay xD But we can still try and ask "da boss" right? xDDD

Okay then... Maybe some banner/signature/wallpaper thingies, you know, like " AS Scanvenger Hunt 2010. (Team name, if there will be names) team. 1st/2nd/3rd place". Something like that.

There'll be one of those anyway but seperate ones for the winning teams could be made too. c:

I was wondering if maybe seeing if I could get my hands on some animal figurines and each member of the winning team can have a certain amount mailed to them?

I'd like to find more really good stuff but everything I think of needs to be mailed and I don't know what people will think of that xD most wouldn't be allowed I imagine.

What if our parents wouldn't allow that?

Hmm, figurines wouldn't be bad, but, about the mail... Yeah xDD There would go a LONG and "FUNNY" talk with their parents if they're under 18 xDD I guess not everyone would let their children accept some prizes through mail while just winning some competition on a website xDDD

We could gather some good artists and have them draw the winning teams charries....NO! Everybody needs to be noticed here. If we would just get some "kewl" artists drawing it would be unfair, wouldn't it?

Hmm...Let's think...There isn't much we can offer as this is a site, a FANSITE xDD Maybe some "help" to the winning team, like...Having some members "mentor" the winners like giving art critique, no, not just giving critique, but actually drawing with them, talking with them, all that stuff...But for that we might need even MORE people who couldn't be in the teams, so yeah xDD

I'm very excited, though I'm wondering- when does it start and how can we make teams?

That's why I'm hesitant to go for those. P: The mailing issue.
I was considering gift vouchers for Amazon.com or something but that'd get expensive for me & people's parents may not let them buy off the internet.

Another option would be deviantART points, though not every one has a dA account.

Art, renders and things are definately a good thing. I might have to start PMing people asking if they'd donate prizes. D:

I have an idea, how about this, they get to put a crown or trophie icon in thier profile that says ' _ Team, Animation source scavanger hunt, 20--' that could maybe appear beside there avatar, if possible, or maybe a 1st 2nd or 3rd place ribbon beside it, that has the team name?
Example: (But smaller)
