She relaxed. She knew she could count on Buck to make her feel fine again. She looked up at the starts again and her thoughts drifted to her cubhood days in the zoo. She remembered playing with her father, taking baths from her mother and learning with her aunt Savannah. A pang of homesickness as sharp as a canine pierced her.
