Okay, this roleplay is about a wolf, played by me, named Chano (pronounced Chay-no). His pack was killed by Nava's father when Chano was a yearling (even though Nava's father killed them in self-defense) and ever since then, Chano has been seeking revenge on his son, Nava. Chano built up another pack with him as the Alpha Male. The pack consists of him, his daughter Kimala (her mother was killed by a bear), Chano's two brothers Ablek and Naku who survived the attack, Naku's mate Kariba, and Naku and Kariba's daughters Kari and Akira. You may assume the roles of these members (if you ask, I will tell you their personality so you can get in character), or you may join as a new member. Remember, this is a evil pack, so no good wolves, unless they're blind or unknowing followers.

Here's the bio:

So, either join as one of the listed characters, or join as your own character. Make sure to follow roleplay rules!

Oh, and here's my bio:
Name:Chano
Gender:Male
Age:Adult
Breed:Timber Wolf and Black Wolf mix
Family:Deceased parents and siblings, Unknown mate, daughter Kimala, brothers Ablek and Naku, sister-in-law Kariba, nieces Akira and Kari
Rank:Alpha Male
Looks:I am medium gray on top and silver on the bottom with Balto's fur pattern. I have black eye patches and ears, and white eyebrows. My eyes have no color.
Personality:Ruthless and power-hungry, scaring weaklings into obeying me. Willing to trick, corrupt, or even kill young pups. Open only towards my family. To everyone else, I am cold and cruel. I have a secret torturing sadness inside me, a permanent scar from most of my family being killed.

I do not role play, but something here bothers me, and that is the plot of this role play.

"Okay, this roleplay is about a wolf, played by me, named Chano (pronounced Chay-no). His pack was killed by Nava when he was a yearling (even though Nava killed them in self-defense)."

I don't see why Nava would kill a wolf pack. In Balto II, Nava is a old wise wolf; violence was hardly of his nature.

Okay, how about I change it to Nava's father?

Nava's father never existed in the films, and I doubt that his father would be a killer. Try Niju.

Well, I actually have a sub-story for Niju. Chano tells pup Niju that Nava killed Niju's parents so Niju would hate Nava, when actually Nava is innocent. So saying Niju killed Chano's pack would kind of ruin that whole part of the plot. Besides, Chano is older than Niju.

This is beginning to sound like more of a fanfiction than a roleplay. If you already have the story plot in mind, why not just write it yourself? I am an experienced AS roleplayer, so here are my suggestions.

1. Members need to create personalities and histories for their own characters, not PM you asking for that information. The only reason a member should have to have a personality handed to them is if this is a 'fan-roleplay' and the character is canon. Other than that, members should be allowed to create their own character.

2. No offense, but roleplaying as a purely evil pack is... not creative and rather stereotypical, not to mention unrealistic. It not only limits personalities, but a good character should have a reason for being mean or rude or cruel, not just pure evil. A pack full of 'evil' wolves would be very dysfunction with all the fights breaking out and characters killing and hurting other characters all the time.

3. While the idea of roleplaying from the perspective of the 'bad guys' is an interesting idea, you should start it off with a really interesting and in-depth character which, I'm sorry to say, Chano is not. He's just the common, everyday villain who hates everyone but his family with a scarred soul from his parents being killed. Boring.

4. There's really no plot. A lot of backstory? Yes. But what exactly is the purpose of the pack? Are they going to go after Nava? Do they have to find him first? Are they planning an attack soon? Also, why would the rest of the pack go along with killing Nava's pack? (And please don't tell me it's because their evil...)

5. I would read over the roleplaying guides and other roleplays to get a sense of what a roleplay is because, like I said before, this sounds more like you've already got characters and a story in mind and are just looking for people to write it for/with you.

P.S. Your image of Chano isn't working.

1.I guess you're right. I just wanted to hang onto the names, which I guess I shouldn't have.

2.Okay, you have a point. I'll try to work on that more.

3.Okay, I'll try to mold his personality a little more.

4.That is also something I could work on, but I have to think about it.

5.Well, actually, I was just trying to make a "first roleplay", but maybe you're right.

6.I know. There's no way to link to it. Maybe I'll post it on the site soon.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm starting to see that this roleplay is pretty flawed. I'll work on it.
