I don't have the novel, so I'm asking did she have a dad in the novel? Unless if he was 1 of the stags at the gathering of the Great Prince in the film, then is there a deleted scenes/making of chapter on the DVD and if so, is there a mention of him?

According to the Disney Wiki, "In the original Bambi novel by Felix Salten, it was implied that Faline was Bambi's cousin. So since Ena doesn't seem to be the prince's sister, Faline's father must have been one of the Great Prince's brothers.

Ena (Falines Mother) is the Sister of Bambi's Mom. She is also called ,,Aunt Ena". Look at both Doe's. They look nearly Identical. I Don't think that Ena is the Prince's Sister or some Stag the Prince's Brother.
