Before I begin my guide, I'd like to give a warm welcome to all the new members of BaltoSource. I hope you enjoy your stay here and that you feel more than welcome!

Now, I bet some of you are good writers and love to express yourself in stories. And I bet that most of you like to read eh? Well, then you are in for a big surprise because here, you can post your own Fanfics!

What is a Fanfic?
A fanfic is a story that you get to write on your own. Plus, if you aren't into WRITING stories, then you might as well READ other stories. You can find everyone's fanfic galleries by clicking on 'Fanfics' under 'Fan Stuff.'

Fanfic Rules
Everything on this site has rules that you need to know. So here are the Fanfic rules:
Don't copy other people's fics.
Don't copy other people's characters.
Keep your fic as clean as possible. Remember, this is a kid-friendly site.
Your fic has to be atleast 1000 words long.
Plus, it's reccomended to type your fic directly online.
Now, for the most important rule: Your fic must strictly be Balto or wolf/dog related! Please!

How to Write a Fic
To write a fic, click on 'Send to the Site' under your username at the top of the page. After you click on that, you'll see a list of options. Click on 'Fanfics.' Then, if you haven't created a gallery yet click on 'Create a Gallery.' After you've made a gallery, you'll see the fic rules (listed above.) Click continue. Next, you'll have to create a name, and a summary for your fic. Right after you've made a title and summary for your fic, you have to choose what type of story you want it to be. Click on the down arrow next to Category and select a type. Is your story an Epic novel? Is it about a Relationship between two dogs? It's all your choice. Then, (we're close to finishing) you need to select a rating for your fic. The ratings go as high as PG 13. When your done, click 'OK.' Finally, you're free to type your fic!

When Done,
When you finish, click 'Save Fic' and then it'll say 'Fanfic Saved.' Below that you'll see more options. If you still want to type more the next day, click on 'Modify the Fanfic Text.' If you don't like the fic and don't want it displayed, click on 'Delete the Fanfic.' But, when you finish, click on the 'When you have Finished' button and your fic will soon be up on the site!

Patience
Patience is the most important thing when typing a fic other than following the rules. Once you have clicked the 'When you have Finished' button, you'll have to wait atleast a day before it's on the site.
