I'm kind of surprised that there was a male character with the name Nikki. Usually, we use it as a shorter version of the name Nicole. I don't think that anyone would call someone named Nicholas (or Nickolas...that's how my name is spelled) Nikki. Of course, I would know, right? LOL

Nick

Yeah that is odd. My dog's name is Nikki, but my dogs a female too. =p I always thought the male version was spelled Nikki, and the female was different. :?

[quote="Juuchan17"]Actually, Kodiak is an island off of Alaska. (and a type of bear . . . and camera film . . . . is it?) :o

actually, there was a National Geographic documentry on Kodiak Island, I watched it :D it focused on bears that live there..it was really interesting actually, it told a lot about the island..and while looking at a map of Alaska i found all three, Aleutian Island, Kodiak Island and Kaltag..theres also a place called Wolf Mountain but I don't imagine that would have anything to do with Balto :D

Yeah, I think almost every Balto character has an Alaskan or at least a northern meaning in their names.

^ This was bumped by a troll first. I don't really see why to lock it. It's a decent topic. If anyone would like to remake it I can lock it though.

Oh really? Ah, I see. Alrighty then.
On topic... I knew that Kaltag was a town in Alaska and figured that out for myself lol. Though I didn't know about Aleu or Kodiak. That's interesting!

Kind of just taking an unknown town in Alaska and giving it an animated dogs name is kind of weird, don't you think? Just because the town isn't know enough they take the name and give it to the animal , like Kodi, or Aleu
