Okay I need help from any/all bookworms.
I'm looking for a certain book. For the life of me, i CANNOT remember the name or the author *fail* But it's mystery/horror/suspense. It's a book for about age 13 and up.
It's quite a good book about this kid who moves to a town that harbors a dark secret, and the principle of the town school is evil, and there are rabid mutant dogs that lurk at night. And it seems like everyone in the town is being controlled by an evil force.
Many kids are disappearing, and the main character seems to think that the principal has something to do with it.
I know that one of the characters is named "Bear." He isn't the main character but he's part of the five "good guys" of the story and a friend to the main character *whose name I cant remember >< *
and I remember the cover of the book. It has this kid looking up, and there's a house in the background with a large doberman looking dog with glowing eyes and bared teeth.
quite creepy.
Any ideas, anyone? :p I'm trying so hard to remember and I just CANT. it's annoying the heck out of me. Neither google nor the library catalogue is helping.
Additional Details- Published possibly in the late 80s, or early 90s.
- There are 5 characters, though only one is the main character, but all of them have to work to find these special items to combine them and unleash a great power...or something like that...
For example, i think Bear's was a bowl.
