That night, Hirizi slept close to Kayla. He still wasn't sure about the warning about poachers near the Mountain Pride that Faraji had given him, but no one was going to hurt Kayla if he could help it.

Hirizi looked up at the snapping of a twig. He knew he couldn't sleep with the worry of poachers. He hated them like anything. He heard stories from his parents about poachers, and they weren't pleasant.
