Meanwhile, Hiccup flew back to Snotlout's house for help. "Snot, Ruff, Tuff, I need you guys to mount your dragons and go help Ash with that monster out there!"
"And why should we?" Asked Snotlout. Hiccup pointed his index finger at Snotlout's helmet and said, "Hookfang, annihilate." Hookfang blasted fire at the top fo Snotlout's helmet, burning the top of it. "Oh, ow ow, okay! Fine!" The teens and their ragons took off after the beast, while Hiccup decided to get Robyn a dragon of his own.

(Feather: Hookfang is Snotlout's dragon; in an episode of the tv series, Snotlout teaches Hookfang to blast fire evertime he points his index finger at something and says "Annihilate")

(Yup, saw that one.)

Ashling looked back, seeing the others. "There are more?" she heard Robyn speak into the wind.
"Everyone," Ashling confirmed. "But come on, we need to kill the thing."
After a moment of silence, Robyn said, "Drop me on it's back."

Hiccup flew Toothless to the dragon's 'Egg island' and looked for a Monstrous Nightmare. He found one sunbathing on a rock eating who-knows-what. "Hey there buddy, I'm not gonna hurt you..." He leaned his hand out and made contact with the Nightmare's snout, then he jumped on him and patted his neck. "See, nothin' to worry about. Now, you think you can follow me and Toothless here back to that island way out there?" He pointed to Berk. The Nightmare nodded his head in agreement, while Hiccup mounted Toothless and flew off towards Berk, with the Monstrous Nightmare following not far behind.

Ashling tentatively swept down near the beast's head, and heard Eobyn drop off. She turned, seeing him draw a sword. Suddenly she felt a blast of heat and squeaked, ducking close to TB's head as he dove away from the flames.

WHen Hiccup returned, he leaped off Toothless and onto the Nightmare. Then he flew up next to Ash and Robyn. "Hey Robyn! Whataya think?" He shouted in excitement.

Robyn looked decidedly unsure. "D'you think I can ride the thing?" he asked worriedly.

"With a little training and help, of course!" He yelled. "Hop on and I'll show you how to ride it!" Hiccup reached out his hand for Robyn to grab.

For the first time, sheer anxiety and uncertainty flashed in Robyn's pale grey eyes. He suddenly clenched his jaw, wiping it away. Jirene would have wanted you to protect these people. He nodded, suddenly regaining his cold composure and reaching out, grasping Hiccup's hand and leaping up onto the dragon. "Okay... Now what?"

Ashling stared after them. "Alright. Let's go, boy," she murmured to Thunderburn. The dragon swept down and to the side, barrel rolling and spurting a line of lightning-esque fire at the monster's face, doing their best to drag the dragon's attention away from Robyne and Hiccup.

"Alright great. Now a dragon will be calm with you if you are calm. They can sense fear so don't be afraid. Also spitting on your and and rubbing it on the dragon soothes them; they have rough skin so it feels good." He said rubbing his wet hand on the side of the dragon. "To control him, you hold onto this rope and steer to the left and right." He demonstrated. "Think you can handle it?"

"If I need to," he told hiccup. "I can take this."

A Night Fury with blue eyes watched from a distance, bewildered by how the other dragons were handled by the humans. How could they allow themselves to be sat on by those that hunted them? How dangerous! Laru rumbled in disapproval, tensing before leaping up into a tree and settling in a fork, continuing to watch them.

"Alright," Robyn murmured. "I've got this. Get back to your dragon," Robyn suggested, allowing the Nightmare to drop Hiccup onto Toothless below. He leaned down, and the beast lunged forward. Robyn narrowed his eyes, and shot an arrow straight into the huge dragon's snout. The thing roared and blasted at them, and the Nightmare swept into a graceful mixture of plunge and turn, narrowly missing it. Robyn felt the heat, and gasped. "Deerlegs, aren't you?" he whispered, straightening up.

Nova slammed her work down on the table. What in the heck is going on outside? she thought angrily. Nova walked over to the door and peeked out. Her heart jumped. Either I can pretend i dont see that huge dragon, or i can go out there and help fight. Nova decided on the latter- she wouldn't be able to get anymore work done besides. "I'm gonna regret this, she thought as she went outside to find her dragon.

Ashling looked around, seeing Robyn with the nightmare. He was a natural. She leaned down, goading Thunderburn to go faster. He sped down toward the dragon, blasting it with a line of lightnig before swinging back up.
