Okay, so I've seen people say they can only render because they only have MS Paint. Right, you can't do anything fancy in Paint, but that doesn't mean the only thing it's good for is rendering...

Take a look at this:
Image
Completely made on Windows XP Paint.

And if you can, there are free image editing programs out there such as: Gimp, Paint.net, Photofiltre and more. If you're in one of them situations were you aren't allowed to download anything, there ONLINE image editors available. One of the most famous ones are Pixlr, it can be found here on the site.

So stop whining that you can only make renders.

I agree with you completely. Actually, I find it more creative (And fun) to make graphics with MS Paint. I know MS Paint is limited but that's the creative part. Look at the graphics I used to make:
/balto/en ... display=18
/balto/en ... display=18
/balto/en ... display=18

They aren't the best ever graphics, but they are pretty "neat" and would pass as graphics.
Of course, you're example is amazing, and I still wonder how you made certain parts of that graphic.

And, also like you said, there are free image editing programs scattered all over the place. I used Gimp (And I recommend Gimp) to anyone who wants a program more advanced and similar to Photoshop.

Hey kiddies, kiddies! Gimp! Paint NET!
It's free! Full program, not trial etc.
Download it freely from the site: http://www.gimp.org/ http://www.getpaint.net/

Then there are free trials of Photoshop people can download. And Photoshop Elements is a good program to buy if you're willing to pay for it. It's like a toned down version of Photoshop since the CS versions cost so much (in the high hundreds).

If you don't like downloading, there is always pixlr.com as Mighty mentioned. That's where I made my signature, and there's no downloading required. AND you can make an account on the site so you can save your work and come back to it whenever you like. Though pixlr doesn't have as many tools as Photoshop, it does have much more than paint.
