Hi all,

I'm new to this website but it's good to see I'm not the only one stuck in the "talespin".

Actually I've been looking around ebay for quite some time today after I saw that there were talespin comics published in the US. There's a guide on the TS-Source-fanpage and I've found some of them comics not being listed on that guide.

Now for me it's hard to overlook which comics have been published, which are official and which are fan made.

For what I understood, there are in total 11 comics published officially in 1991, including the 4 P&L-comics and 7 others.
Then there are some novels... how many exactly, and are they based on the tv series too, just like the 11 core comics are?
And to what comic series belongs the last linked comic above? Is there an additional series by marvel comics?

Hope you can enlighten me.

Alright, first : you'll find many (if not most) of the comics released right on this page : /talespin ... &id_film=9

is a graphical novel (not a comic), and 4 like that were released. They were based on episodes : Captain's Outrageous, Mommy for a Day, Her Chance To Dream.

* http://www.ebay.de/itm/Talespin-Surpris ... 253wt_1397 is a reprint of two issues of official Disney-published comics (among the 11)

* Yes, 11 issues were released in the official Disney TaleSpin series (pre-crash of Disney comics and the whole comic industries in 1991 I think). The first 4 of them are actually a limited-series comics version of "Plunder & Lightning".

* But there were still more comics released after that! Some of them in "Disney Adventures", a magazine which also had comics with Disney Afternoon series (and other stuff). These were most often short comics. There was also a "Disney Afternoon" magazine, but very few TaleSpin comics made it into that one - it came later and most of it was Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles and the other shows that were still on the air at the time.

* There are also a few comics released only in France! I've posted some on the site, there are some more I haven't posted.

* And some other oddities, like some children books released in Germany. I have one of them, unposted yet.

* AFAIK, there are only two fan comics, the short one I've made myself : /nogui.ph ... m=9&numg=2, and the one Shade Silverwing is currently making : /nogui.ph ... =9&numg=41

thanks for sharing these information! Now the riddles about the comics should be solved finally.
Just bought the mini series on ebay, looking forward to read it.
Of course it would be cool to have all of 'em comics but especially the ones that were "secretly" published in the "Disney afternoon" comics should be quite hard to find...
