WARNING! THIS RANT CONTAINS HUGE TEXT!

Honestly, people? I HATE when I see a profile that has text so huge that you can't even read it. Heck, I don't even attempt to read it, it's too much of a hassle. The content probably isn't worth reading anyway.

First of all, why does the text even need to be that big? It often times stretches the screen, which in itself is annoying. And lastly, it just looks like crap, and not to mention it screams, "HI! I'M A NOOB!!!!!!" You really don't need to use anything bigger than size 24 for a font size, even that is pushing it. But 72? I don't think so. I would suggest you keep the size to 12.

Please refrain from using huge text, thank you. (=

Yeah, I always wonder about people who do that... do you not get enough attention at home or something?

But you know what bugs me even more, when people put images in their profiles that are so ***** huge that they go outside the profile field--break it, really--and it makes the page look like crap.

I agree this is really really annoying, in both profiles and character pages(I think especially on character pages. They are unable to read). There should be some rule for this.

^ I agree, there should be a rule. Or better yet, remove the option for font that big.

It would be nice if there was an coding or something similar to the images and art submissions where it is auto resized. (or at least I think there is lol)

It's just as bad as all caps, in my opinion. The same way. A little bit of caps is alright, but not everything written. Same with huge text.

We aaaaaall talk about it here, but whenever someone actually makes a civil recommendation to one of these culprits (as Mighty did today), not only does the culprit fly off the handle like a BRAT, but the moderators take her (and anyone who agrees with her openly) to task as trolling flame baiters!

If we're going to deal with these things intelligently, we have to stop with that freaking double standard. Especially on the part of staffers.

I hate the whole big text too. Talk about blinding. Makes me wish I could change the text myself. I have thought about it.

What would you recommend for the maximum font size, Mighty?

IMHO, 32 should be fine for a maximum font, perhaps less than that (24?).

Check my first post, I already stated my thoughts on that.

Could you imagine what it looks like on a 800 x 600 screen?

^ I couldn't imagine anyone using a screen size that small these days (unless you're using a phone, ipad, netbook, etc). But I'm sure there are some, and I'm sure on a screen size that small it would be practically impossible to read the text.

iPhone (4, 4S) screen is 960*640 and iPad (Retina) is 2048*1536. No low-res stuff there :D
