I think Jenna needed more parts in the 2nd movie. I know the 2nd movie was about Balto and Alue but Jenna's only main parts was when the pups were born and sold.

(duh) of course Jenna should have had more parts! In the 1st and 2nd! She is the second main charactor of the films!

Yes I think Jenna is very important. She gives courage to Balto (You don't have to be a hero) and I think it helps Balto to find out that it is not important wich animal he is...wolf or dog.

This is odd . . . I think that yes, Jenna didn't get enough screen time in WQ, but I believe that was a good thing.

In the first film, you could probably call her the "heroine" to Balto as the "hero". She was strong, brave, and very encouraging to Balto and anyone else that she met, even if they didn't agree with her ideas and thoughts (like when she said that Steele was lying about Balto and the team being dead). She was perfect in the first film.

However, WQ made her a minor character for once. Yes, she gave birth to pups and soon had to give them up for adoption, but she was very minor. This sequel was meant to focus on Balto and Aleu's journey into their obvious wolf side. Since Jenna was not a half breed, she was, for once, useless to them . . . . except to stay at home and have faith that they will have a safe quest.

Now, WoC (I know, wrong topic, but it's connected to it), Jenna IMO returned to being almost a major character, but she was still pretty minor. Yes, she encouraged her mate by telling him "You dont have to be a hero" for their young son, Kodi, but other than that, she was there for support and someone for Balto (and Mel and Dipsy) to talk to when they needed the company. She also taught Kodi an important lesson near the end, so with all of the advice that she was giving, she seemed much more important to the film than she was in WQ (maybe it was because the original writers returned for the third movie?).

So, yeah. I think WQ meant for her to stay out of the spotlight, and it was a good thing. She got to be a worried young mom, worried for the sake of her wolfish daughter who longed for a home to call her own. It would have been nice to see more of Jenna with the pups instead of just Balto with them all the time (where was Jenna during those parts when Balto was with the pups? Hmmm . . .) - maybe it was because she was with them since their birth and they needed to connect with their dear old dad for once. I don't know . . . .

But yeah, Jenna's role in Wolf Quest was okay to me (even though I still thought I could see her leaving home to follow Balto and Aleu anyway, ignoring Boris and Balto's orders not to go with him). Sorry for rambling again . . . . ^__^;

As would most Balto fans here, SG. But mainly, it seems that Jenna also wanted Aleu to have a home (so did Balto, even though he probably wouldn't admit it) . . . . I mean she did say to Balto that she wanted to keep trying to find Aleu a human to be with at the end of the adoption scene, even though Balto knew she wouldn't be adopted due to her obvious wolfish looks. The best thing that she could do was to worry about her daughter's safety when she ran away, but I guess she's always trusted Balto, even if on the inside she wishes that she were there side by side with her mate (you know she did . . . if she were truly in character, she would be thinking that).

Gosh, at least there's one thing that we all would have liked to see: Jenna's reaction to Balto's return without Aleu . . . and his announcement of where Aleu is now . . . .

Betcha she'd freak out.

She had a pretty good role in Balto, seeing that she saved balto's life. Her screentime was good. She's not exactly an annoying character like Muk and Luk in Balto 2 or Stella in Balto 3.
Im goin with, she's should be in the movies more.

I remeber someone saying that maybe that's why Balto still lived on the boat in WoC! lol.

well she is balto's life and without the puppies there wouldnt be a seaqul to Balto.

should've had her in a lot more, for that matter she wasn't really Jenna in the second movie. I can't put my finger on it, but something was different about her (besides the way she looked)

She'd appear on more parts.But the things are running more between Balto-Aleu
And about her new design other animators were used this explains the changes. +was on low budget.
