I did not post it as a question because there is no official answer I think...

At the end of Brother Bear we see Kenai wearing his totem necklace again, but he don't have it in second movie. Any ideas what happened with it?


I think that animators might just forget it as it's not very necessary thing in the second movie.

Who knows. As far as we know his time as a human is still unknown to other bears and it was better to keep it that way, it could be dangerous like as a choking hazard and stuff, he may have lost it, most likely though lazy animatorsXD

I noticed this too. Bothered me greatly considering it's a symbol of Kenai accepting who he is.
My guess is the animators were lazy. But it could be it fell off, or he's hording it in a safe place.

Hmm... I never really thought about it. Maybe it fell off unnoticed, because if he knew it fell off I'd assume he'd pick it up and put it on again.

I think he prolly may have taken it off or something. Otherwise, like FiddleFox said, the other bears may have noticed something odd about him. Like the fact he had a human carved totem on X3

Im sure he let Koda play with it and he lost it. Maybe to the Racoons lol

Im pretty sure the animators just didnt bother. They dont care about consistency with these unneccasary sequels.

I don't think the animators bothered with details, really. It would've looked weird for Kenai to be wearing that totem infront of the other bears, or it could have been getting in the way of his bear life, or fell off, or is being stowed away somewhere safe, I don't know. That's for us to decide, but I really think that if he had had his totem, the tribes would have known who he was and wouldn't have hunted him :/
