Someone may shoot me for this, but it would have to be Rain. I don't know what it is, but her character bothers me. Yes, I know the horses don't talk throughout the movie, but the way they portrayed her, she just seemed... superficial I guess is the word? I don't know. She's tolerable, but she has to be my least favorite character by far.

(Rain actually won some sort of award, actually.)

I can't really say any of them. They all served a purpose in the movie and were well developed. Even The Colonel (is that who you people mean by 'The Sargent' I'm confused) in the end turned out to not be so bad. If anyone maybe Murphy but even he had some humorous value.

Murphy's the blacksmithI don't think I really dislike any of the characters in the movie. Perhaps my least favourite character would have to be the man with the whip, who also seems to be the man who shoots at Spirit, a. because he seems heartless, but mostly because b. he seems pointless. I mean, why have a random cruel man fire a gun at Spirit? What possible benefit could it be to kill the horse that had just escaped, except perhaps out of malice and vengeance for releasing the other horses?

^ Ooo I forgot about him. Good choice and point. I can see why he'd want to shoot at Spirit or seem malicious for no reason. When people are shown up by an animal, I've seen them do really unnecessary and heartless things. But as far as being in the movie, he kinda does seem pointless now that you mention it. I guess his purpose is just a push to show how eeeeeeevil the eeeeeeeeeevil humans can be, and why they should never be allowed to get to Spirit's homeland.
