So, which one are you? I'm right handed.

Although I use both hands,I usually use my right hand.

I'm a righty, but lately I've been attempting at using my left hand. Writing is the hardest thing, but after a while I'm sure I'll get the hand of it.

I'm usually righty. But I fold my hands lefty, and a few other things I prefer with my left hand, such as holding a fork...can't think of too many other things.

Something else that's interesting: I only hit the space bar with my right thumb. My other thumb just hangs there below the keyboard.

Right-handed on most things, and favor my right foot in things such as sports-oriented activities and such. But oddly, I can only snap successfully with the fingers of my left hand.

Interestingly, there's this whole concept going around about "alien hand syndrome", where people with serious head injuries (which are successfully repaired) sometimes end up suffering damage to the corpus callosum, which separates the two hemispheres of the brain. And when that happens (or when the corpus callosum is deliberately cut in surgery for one reason or another), it is said that that very rare syndrome can occur. Now, there are plenty of people who write it off as illegitimate, that it is utter baloney. But I think it is wildly interesting that people who have this syndrome end up seeing their less-dominant hand (usually the left hand, as it is the one controlled by the right hemisphere of the brain) become apparently independent of their control...it will twitch and then often act out on its own, grasping and even doing more complex things. These people come to view their hand as not being theirs, that it has a personality all its own (when it is probably just the part of their brain that does not house the centers of language and creative expression such as writing). They sometimes even name it. And I have heard accounts of some such people waking in the middle of the night being choked by their own left hand! In a panic, they have to work to pull the hand away and either subdue or "distract" it. That's intriguing.

I remember seeing old films, in school, where they showed early psychological experiments of this very kind conducted by scientists, mentioning specifically where the two hemispheres of the brain being separated from communicating with each other. A person then, in almost a literal sense (if not literal indeed) effectively becomes two people in one body. They showed footage of tests done on those patients, where they would cover their eyes and then test their responses to objects placed in their hands, or asking them to write things. The hands seemed to fight over an object...and the left hand seemed incapable of expressing thoughts in writing no matter how the person was asked to do so, and no matter how easy the scientists made it for them.

Huh. Imagine that. Your own hand turned against you. ROFL

I'm a righty, but there are certain things I always do with my left hand.

I'm ambidextrous, but I use my right hand more often.

I'm both when it comes to sports like basketball and volleyball. (baseball and golf I'm a righty) I'm a righty in everything else too.

I'd love to be ambidextrous sometimes... but I have no patience to train myself. So I'm just right handed.

haha, this. I had a go at training myself to be ambidextrous a few years ago. But my patience ran to thin so I just gave up. xD I'm right handed for everything.
