Animation Source Forums

I was looking at lion pictures on Google, keywords were somewhere along the line of "animated lion" or something, and I stumbled upon an image of a lion with a multi-colored, reddish mane. When I saw it, I instantly thought of Kion and saved the image. Let's hope the image(s) show up, heh.

Compare the image I found with Kion's design. Whether it was planned or not, I found the similarities interesting and felt I should share. I wasn't able to find a creation date for the "animated lion" image, but it's obviously been up on the net for awhile. The colors are similar and I suppose the mane styles are as well.

Whether the image is/was recent or not, I'm not sure, but I feel that inspiration was drawn from/for Kion. I just thought the two looked similar and wanted to share. What do you fellow Lion King fans think?

I agree with you. Though, I think most lions and manes like this are chosen from Simba.
