On wikipedia, you can often see TLK comics, and I often read them. A few weeks ago I read a comic called "Simba and the Snake". Two or three times during this comic, you see a young male cub that looks VERY similar to Nala. Mheetu? I will post pictures, I'm stilling learning how to. If it doesn't, I'm posting links. Who do you think it is?

In the first two panels, we see a small cub in Sarafina's arms. Looks a bit like a young Mheetu.

In the second panel, we see a young male cub that looks like a male version of Nala. Of course it can't be her because the cub has whiskers and a tuft, only male lions contain those features.
So who do you think it is?

well, did u finish the comic? On the very last page there is a newborn cub with age spots (Sarafina is holding him) i included the pg. while it would make a lot of sense for him to be there, i dont think hed grow his spots back

I know, I left the link for that page in the first post. Perhaps the picture attachment I posted, the panel with the male cub was an ink failure or maybe that leads us to another topic, who is that cub?

I'd bet my life savings on that the cub in the second panel is an ink mistake and really Simba who hears the cries for help from the previous panel. That's the only logic explanation. A comic writer wouldn't just randomly throw in a new character never seen anywhere else before or after in the comic. It's Simba with Nala's colours. It wouldn't even be the first time the comics mess up Simba and Nala's colours.

As for the new born cub in Sarafina's arms...It could be a shout-out to the film's creators by being Mheetu without actually being confirmed as him, but it could just as likely be a random cub from the pride whom Sarafina is just babysitting. (Those specific comics do have tons of cubs in the pride.)

So, I think this is kinda pointless if meant to figure out who the cub really is meant to be because there's no earthly way of knowing unless someone somehow manages to reach the person who illustrated that comic.

As it is now, the only truth is that it's up to fanfiction on that fanfiction comic.

I personally like to think it's just a random cub.

How does that close out the possibility that it's Mheetu?

it's not meetu because they where not written for disney. and they would not know it's meetu.

I think that in the first image it's just Simba. He looks like Simba, and Mheetu can't look that old if he was a cub in the last page. Someone get his colors wrong. This happens often...

But the last page. Yes, I'm 100% sure it could be Mheetu

Yes perhaps the young cub in Sarafina's arms, is perhaps Mheetu, maybe the author wrote the comic during film production and it was published later. But the cub that has Simba's build and Nala's face couldn't be Simba, because why would he be gasping when he's about to attack snake? Perhaps it's a BIG fail on Nala.

The cub's not gasping when he's about to attack a snake. In that panel it may not even know there is a snake. It's gasping because it's simply hearing the cries for help. You see in the next box Simba is all mighty and brave, announcing that he's coming for help. And for that panel to happen there needs to be a reference to that he has first heard the distress before announcing that he's coming - otherwise it would be a sort of a plot hole. So, again, that is just colouring mess up on Simba who's shown to hear the cries for help.

Back to the infant cub in Sarafina's arms...



If I understood correctly, you're mistaken because the comics were written for Disney. Not BY Disney but FOR Disney, likely by outsiders.

And those outsiders who created that comic could've easily known about Mheetu by having looked into the Laserdisc release, and then wanted to include him into this one comic.

So, it COULD be Mheetu but we may never know for sure if it actually is. I think the chances are 50/50.
