^ So... you're referencing? That's not impressive, either, actually.

Tibb is saying the same thing I did. The readers would be more pleased if you made your OWN art, instead of stealing someone's pose and style. You say your inspiration is from Walt Disney, and that's a nice inspiration, but he didn't steal ideas and styles from others. I know Bambi was based off a book, but there was permission and credit.

No, your not a fraud, and I'm not trying to upset you. The only way you will get better at drawing is by practicing. You could always have someone draw for you who is good at art.

Referencing is a big practice tool for me. And I do admit, most of my drawings on lion king source are referenced. But it's just to get me in the hang of drawing lions. After a while, though, you have to find your own unique style, and be really creative. Otherwise, you're just copying disney's style. But I've seen your drawings, and they're not bad at all. With a lot of practice you can get even better really fast. And I still hope that you continue to dream big!

You seem to be placing alot of faith in 'what might happen', instead of actively trying to accomplish something.

Ok well tibb is right... The onlything you have down right is the goal but that's the easyest part, its a huge long prossess, and if it does get published doesn't mean world wide, it may only be on the shelf of your town, it takes a lot of time and effort to get it in your entire country nevermind worldwide.

2 the less original it is the less likely of it going anywhere, 3 I noticed you got sad from what tibb said and all she basicly gave you a critic in a nice way, because she's a sweet person, but book critics and movie critics are extreamly blunt and won't hold back on harshness, if its the worst thing they ever read they will say it in multiple ways so if you get sad over tibbs truthful yet kind critic then your far from ready to handle the real critics, you have to be prepared to be knocked back so far sometimes further from where you started, to where you half to break down your entire story and rebuild the entire thing back up to suit the standards, so you gotta be ready to re do that prossess over and over without being sad and teary eyed.

Those are just some factors that come into play, there's many more and about the movie thing that's an entirely diffrent ball game. I do love your spirit kid^^ so best advice I can give is prove us all wrong and show what you can really do and the best of luck on your path and in the literal world quiters get eatin alive so I will look forward to seeing what you can do^^

If anything I said made you feel bad I'm sorry but its true and picture that but X1000 cuz that's what the critics will be like and you need those critics.

Good luck!

Your art style, while better, is still obviously heavily inspired by Disney. I am somewhat of an artist (more realistic and human, hence no art gallery on AS), but I dabbled in cartoons when I was younger, around eleven or twelve. My art teacher had some fantastic ideas, but the best strategy for creating your own cartoon style is not by looking at other cartoons, but by looking at real life. The animators of Disney studied real lions in order to create their characters, so why don't you give it a try?

The simplest way to do this is by finding a photograph of the animal you want to draw, use that photo as a reference to draw out a more realistic sketch, then use your drawing as a reference to create characters and learn more about your style.

Here's a super quick reference I just whipped up now to better example myself:

(sorry for the horribleness; literally spent only half an hour on this)

This is the picture I used for reference
Three Quick Characters

I urge you to try this method at least once and really hope it helps! (Also, you should consider drawing on actual sketching paper instead of loose leaf. It makes a huge difference to me personally and greatly improves my sketches. You can buy a cheap sketchbook at Walmart or a nice one at a craft store.)

BTW, I can empathize with you on putting writing aside to work on plot and character development. My current novel is at a stand still while I quickly fill up a notebook with notes. It's tough work, but it's worth it in the end. :D
