Hello,
I decided to try out drawing, and I drew a female.
It looks bad, and its tail is all wrong. Also, Most of the position is wrong.
Could someone please help me out with this? It would be much appreciated

Thank you x

I did a quick redline with my style, and I know the tail looks weird in the redline too, I don't draw curly tails that often. If you want any more help, just ask!

This is ROUGHLY what I think is wrong, the blue lines are self-corrections to my slackness. Your dog seems a little out of proportion length-wise so keep an eye on that.

The only thing I kinda don't like with this red-line is the head and the back... perhaps someone better can attend to that.

This is basically my red line, and I suggest you practice more on whole anatomy. If it's a dog, it should be a little smaller. Practice before you submit. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs51/f/2009/325/f/f/Some_redline_help_by_lunar98.png

Thanks Lunar.
Yeah, I need to look a bit more on anatomy.

It's alright. Keep practicing, and you can be better. ^^

Yeah, but even there the butt lifts too far off from the ground. Hmm.

I suggest using some reference pictures. Photos are the best to use, like so - http://images.google.co.uk/images?gbv=2 ... q=&start=0
(Do make sure to use the photos and not the random images, Google can be a pain like that ^^).

Redlines help but they only go so far. I really don't want to sound rude but while the redlines here are helpful, the anatomy in them still isn't the best.
