Once a year, for a period of roughly three months, the smaller planet is cast into shadow by its larger companion, and undergoes a cold, dark winter. Nobody can say for certain how they came to be here, or why only dogs have been stranded here.
Without any apparent means of escaping this new world, you will have to focus on survival. While there is water in abundance, food and shelter are more scarce, but the real challenge will be getting along with everyone else stranded in this place. Because, no matter how strong you might be on your own, you'll need all the help you can get...once darkness falls.
