Here's what I have so far Raphael: Fuego: Clara: Storm: Shadow: And I have a little clue about Little Shoulders. His/her head base is the same as Tally and we know Tally is female. but I still think it would be safer to left Lil's gender unknown when there's no clear proof.

Good job finding all of those, Troll ^^ I would have said that this mare looks more like Fuego, purely because she's got a darker mane and nose. But then, it could just be the same mare in different lighting. I'm sure most of you know this anyway, but Fuego is Spanish for 'fire'. So to me it feels strange to call a grey horse 'fire', unless of course she was born chestnut/red bay and greyed out. I also would have expected her to be called Fuega, since she's female and names/nouns tend to have male and female spellings, although I appreciate that objects that aren't alive, like a fire, don't have a female or male designation in Spanish.

Great findings, Troll! I'm especially exited about Clara, Storm and Shadow; they really look like the Forever Free portraits and sprites. Raphael could be the same age as Spirit indeed. But I'm not sure about Fuego. I always thought of her being the one to the right of Esperanza here: http://i1.wp.com/screencaps.us/200/2-sp ... om-588.jpgBut at Forever Free her mane and muzzle are darker than her coat. @ blackhorsebeth: You're right about the name Fuego. But still, I think she fits the name. Not sure why.

Guys, guys! I just found the names of two more cavalry men! They're called cavalry man Miller and cavalry trooper Johnson. I found their character sketches at the site of one of DreamWork's concept artists. Here are their sketches: On the site itself are the character sketches of Murphy and Sergeant Adams as well: http://www.alex-williams.com/spirit-sta ... arron.htmlNow we just have to find Miller and Johnson in the movie EDIT This could be Miller: http://i0.wp.com/screencaps.us/200/2-sp ... m-2797.jpgHe's the third soldier riding Spirit during Get Off My Back (he's the one that scolds at Spirit after thrown off; Spirit chases after him and he 'launches' himself over the corral fence). Johnson is very difficult to find because almost all the cavalry men have mustaches like his. EDIT 2 Looks like Miller is present during the canyon chase as well: http://i0.wp.com/screencaps.us/200/2-sp ... m-8336.jpg

That's fantastic, Tarun! Great work! If only they had concept sketches of the wranglers as well, we'd know for sure which man is which... ^^; I agree Miller appears to be the man that Spirit bucks off. He could also be this man, on the horse that stops when Spirit calls to them: http://i2.wp.com/screencaps.us/200/2-sp ... m-2358.jpg

Yes it's a pity there are only four character sketches at this site. It looks like they were cut off a bigger drawing. Maybe I could try and contact the concept artist with the question of he got more character drawings, but I don't know if these people are happy with this kind of fan mail..
Yes, that looks like Miller as well! But it could be the same soldier as the one that Spirit bucks off (and the one at the canyon chase).

Ah that are a lot of men with the same beard xD But I agree with you; they gave him a name, so he should have had a 'bigger' role than the most soldiers.
And about Johnson: that could be very true! But if you look at the concept art, you see the left and right outfit is quite different from the one in the middle. There he wears gloves and he wears a jacket on top of his shirt.
Yeah I saw the same! It could be that the originally name for the movie was Spirit of the Wind, but I can't remember seeing this somewhere before. But it happens often. I remember The Lion King wasn't called that way originally either.

Unfortunately, just because he's holding a gun doesn't mean he's definitely Johnson, and unless we can identify him with some degree of certainty, we can't officially say it is him.
It's so frustrating to have such limited official information ^^; What we need is one of the film's producers to say for the record 'yes that's him' or 'no, we cut him from the final movie' etc ^^;

Okay hahaha I just read the novel 'Sierra' by Katheen Duey and Fuego seems to be a very very different horse in the novel than in the game. In the game Fuego is grey and friendly and looks like a mare (not sure now anymore) while Fuego in the novel is a dark bay stallion who's not that friendly at the beginning. But according to your quote Beth, Kathleen Duey's Fuego makes more sense; he is described as blood-bay that looks like fire. The next characters were named in the novel: - Sierra: young mare - Bonita: Sierra's mother, coat white as snow - Paco: old burro stallion, brave, small, Shadow's friend - Shadow: herd stallion, battle-scarred ears, Paco's friend, brave, smaller and older than Fuego - Tally: lead mare, bigger than Bonita - Fern: gangly sorrel filly, Sierra's friend and age, tall - Fuego: dark bay (almost black), blood-bay in sunlight, tall stallion - Storm: black-and-white pinto stallion, tall, markings like storm clouds, even-tempered, kind - Big-Shoulders: Lakota male (human), squared shoulders, big feet, older brother from Little-Colt, strong, voice is deep and calm, son Long-Mane - Little-Colt: Lakota female (human), child, younger sister Big-Shoulders, high voice, daughter Long-Mane - Long-Mane: Lakota Chief male (leader, human), broad-shouldered, low voice, tall, heavily built, longest hair, hair is black and streaked with silver, father of Big-Shoulders and Little-Colt - Rain: filly, daughter Sierra and Storm, brown-and-white pinto, lovely face, velvet muzzle I loved reading this book <3

I'm guessing Big Shoulders, Little Colt and Long mane are humans rather than Lakota horses?

Troll Berserker wrote: So game creators obviously took names from the books, but those horses aren't the same. Yeah I think so. It's a pity, because it would be awesome if it would have been the same characters as in the books and in the movie. blackhorsebeth wrote: I'm guessing Big Shoulders, Little Colt and Long mane are humans rather than Lakota horses? Yes they are! I'm sorry it wasn't clear; I edited the post so it's clear now I wish Kathleen Duey would have written something about the relations between Little Creek and the Lakotas in the novel.

No problem, it's just a little difficult to tell when Little Shoulders is a horse and Big Shoulders is a man ^^
I wonder if we could have Little Creeks 2 friends in one official profile for SS? After all, we've got The Foals together in one profile, you never see the 2 Lakotas apart (in the movie at least), we have no way of telling which voice actor voiced which man, although we do know the names of the voice actors, and it really doesn't matter that we don't have much information about them since Granite's profile has very little info about him.
I'd also love to see the Little Indian Girl from the film get an official profile. I watched the whole film through with the filmmakers' commentary on today, and they actually say when she comes on screen that the Little Indian Girl is voiced by Meredith Wells, the daughter of Simon Wells, one of the storyboarders for the film. Fascinating trivia like that is ideal for Spirit Source, and would be perfect to include in her official profile.
