Really? No topic about this show already? Really?

It's a good ABC show I think. Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold is my most favorite character. Not only for the accent, but his character overall! Both the good and bad in him. I also started to like Regina some more too. What can I say? I really like complex villains.

I also like Red/Ruby a lot. There's some different takes on these stories, some dark twists. Honestly I don't know why Dr. Frankenstein is in there. It's not a fairy tale--but it's interesting anyway.

I heard from my mom (who goes on Facebook more than I ever do, and visits the One Upon a Time page sometimes) about this Wonderland spin off, and that the voice of the White Rabbit will be the man who's done the character Pee Wee Herman. I'm hoping it's not the actual Pee Wee voice. I can't imagine the character having that voice.

Oh no. Don't even get me STARTED on this show. I was hopelessly obsessed with it for a few months before I got tired of it mutilating my feels. The first season was as magical as the show itself, but season two... I don't even KNOW where it's going! They keep bringing in characters when they don't even do anything with the old characters when there's so much to do with them yet! Sure they'll bring them in when it's convenient for the Charmings (screen hogs), but other than that you barely know they're there! I expected to be strung along for an emotional roller coaster ride when I found out one of (if not THE) writers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's working on the show, but this is too much. I still watch it if I can remember it's on, but I'm not really "obsessed" anymore.

And on a random footnote Jiminy's my favorite character. <3

Cause he ticked off Cora when he "tried" to bring back her boyfriend. So therefore she cursed him too. (I'm honestly glad she did cause he's one of the characters I love that got me into this show back in season one.)

There's a spin off? Wait wat. Some links to this and more info on OUAT for newbies too would be helpful, and make your topic look better.

I completely agree with Roi on this one. While I loved the first season and still watch the new episode every week, I'm not as impressed with the second season and I'm not surprised that ratings have gone down and that the show will mostly likely not get signed for season four. (It's already been signed for season three).

I really liked the second season, at first, when we got to see the Enchanted Forest in 'modern day' but as soon as Emma and Snow returned to Storybrooke, the story kinda went down hill. I'm dedicated now, so I will continue to tune in each week via the internet because college has prevented me from owning an actual television set, but I am not as excited as I once was.

--- Below This Line Are Spoilers Even Though There Is Already A Sorta Kinda Spoilery Thing Above But Yeah ---

First season, gotta say, I loved the Cinderella story and I'm really upset that she just disappeared. While I understand the actress probably had to leave to work on some other project, I feel like there was so much story potential there after she had her baby. The same goes for a lot over other characters such as Hansel and Gretel, the Mad Hatter, and Kathryn (and her Prince that never makes on appearance in Storybrooke for some reason).

Don't get me wrong, I love Killian Jones, but he's about the only new character that I enjoy. Doctor Frankenstein was interesting, but added nothing new to the story except to drill into our heads (again) that Regina is only 'evil' because her true love was killed. We get it. She's a complex villain. Can we move on now? Cora returned just to make Regina hate Snow even more than die. Other than the fact that this whole 'Dark Snow' idea is just an excuse to make a beloved character act completely unlike herself and cause more drama, there's already enough history between them and they don't need anymore. Anton comes in and has the potential to give the town magic beans, which means they'll be able to go back to the Enchanted Forest, and I think this will be the basis for season three. At least I hope so. Being stuck in the real world as been boring as heck.

I was hoping to see more of Mulan and Aurora after Emma and Snow returned, maybe how they are beginning to restore the Enchanted Forest, but instead we dive into this strange tangent of Neal (whose identity I figured out after his first appearance in season one), August, Tamara, and Owen/Greg. I'm much more interested in fairytales and magic than all these normal people getting involved.

Also, was I the only one who was disappointed with the latest episode, most especially August returning to a little boy? Okay, so the main reason is because I ship Emma/August so hard and now that ship is kinda creepy, so... Also, I just don't understand the whole point of those last ten or so minutes. Being logical, he shouldn't have been affected by the taser so much since he's made of wood and wood stops electric currents, right? Um, writers, research your science, please. Also, he's personifying the ultimate 'clean slate' (and I get that) but I hate the idea that he made so many mistakes that he couldn't come back from it. I don't think his mistakes were all that bad, so how in the world will this show manage to forgive Snow for that awful act she did? No matter what they do, it's not going to make sense.

Hmmm, so I sound like I hate this series, don't I? Honestly, I don't. I just keep waiting for it to go back to how it was in Season One and the beginning of Season Two. Hopefully Season Three will bring back the fairytale aspect of the show that I loved about Season One and stop focusing so much on bringing on new character after new character.

P.S. What is the spin-off that you speak of? Sounds interesting...

True. It is a let down that the older characters aren't mentioned as much. Belle among them... Sigh. I feel bad for Rumpel there. Still into the show though.

I looked up an article just now. Looks like an actress has been chosen for the role of Alice.

Quote:
English-born Australian actress Sophie Lowe has landed the Alice in Wonderland role in the network's Alice in Wonderland-themed spinoff, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Additionally, relative newcomer Peter Gadiot has been cast as Alice's mysterious love interest, Cyrus, in the project from Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

The duo joins Michael Socha, who was cast earlier Thursday as the Knave of Hearts. STORY: ABC Eyeing Potential 'Once Upon a Time' Spinoff".

The Once team -- including EPs Jane Espenson, Zero Hour's Zack Estrin and Steve Pearlman -- will shoot a short "teaser" presentation in April and, should it move to pilot, shoot that in late July or August.

The whole article: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-f ... ice-431653

Aha, so that's what some from Zero Hour have been up to... Still a bit disappointed that show being cancelled after just three episodes. *Sigh* Anyway, moving on!

Oooh, a headline of this other article just grabbed my interest. A Once Upon a Time graphic novel will be coming out?? 8D Oh I gotta look into this.

While waiting for a webpage to load or finding another website to load faster, I found solid confirmation on Paul Reubens (Pee Wee) on being the voice of the White Rabbit. http://www.deadline.com/2013/04/paul-re ... e-spinoff/

Edit: I found something about the graphic novel from TV Guide. It's a Marvel Graphic Novel, and it's supposed to be about backstory on the relationship between Regina and the Huntsman, backdated to after the events of the season one episode, "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter".

Quote:
The Evil Queen is expanding her kingdom — into comic books! The Once Upon a Time villainess will headline an upcoming original graphic novel adaptation of the ABC drama, which explores her relationship with the Huntsman. Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen, coming form Marvel Comics on Sept. 4, will directly tie in to the show's continuity. "We wanted to explore some new narrative territory that the show hadn't fully covered yet," says Emily Shaw, the Marvel editor working on the book. "The Huntsman was perfect. Fans love him, he's such a compelling character, but his background is still pretty mysterious. Especially when it comes to his servitude to Regina, the Evil Queen."

Seems somewhat interesting, but I'm a bit iffy on this. I have lots of other comics and graphic novel series' to read and re-read, so once this hits the New Releases shelf at the local comic shop I'll have a look through some of the pages before deciding to buy it.

Too tired at the moment to write paragraphs about the show, but I remember I got into it as a bargain with my friend. She would watch The Vampire Diaries if I watched Once Upon a Time. And I caught up on the first season in one day. *shot*

I think the first season was really great, and the beginning of the second was awesome too. I'll admit, a few character mishaps have peeved me off Hidden text : click to show
.

Lately they just seem to be making up the plot as they go, and most of the characters are annoying me now. But Captain Hook and Jefferson will always remain my faves<33

At least there's more Huntsman in the graphic novel? I'll be sure to post more about that once it comes out.

It was a lame plot point for August. As Black Rose said, the writers should have done their science research.

The graphic novel sounds interesting. I absolutely love Graham and wouldn't be all that upset if the writers somehow brought him back to life, no matter how absurd and ridiculous it would be. They've done more unbelievable things before... But I think a graphic novel will be good enough, I guess.

And I couldn't agree with Moki more. It seriously feels like the writers have run out of ideas so they keep throwing in random characters and unneeded plot twists to make it more interesting while all their fans would like to go back to focusing on just the main characters and their backstories. (Sort of reminds me of a bad rp haha).

P.S. I wouldn't mind a Peter Pan and Hook-centric episode... Or a re-telling of Goldilocks with wolves instead of bears and getting Red in there somehow... Just throwing out ideas...
