Guess where you've landed on - yes, yet another mate contest. I made this because I'm guilty of being too unoriginal to find a purpose for my character without giving him a mate and I love him too much to give him away.
The character I'm talking about is Tehan, a dog from Larkspur's family tree. His mother is Mya and his father is Triton.

Remember that he's in larkspur's family tree.
Take into account his personality. I hate it when people pair their characters up just because they 'look cute together'.
This is for a permanent mate, not flings.
Must be a female or a really feminine male.
If female, the character can be fixed, it's not necessary for her to be able to have pups.

Personality:
Brave and feisty, Diana isn’t afraid to go head to head with someone who she feels is a threat. She is extremely protective and does not relate well to jokes if they are offensive. She isn’t much of a joker herself, but she does love to laugh every once in a while. She is an extremely defensive individual who is hard-headed and somewhat creative in her way of doing things. She has a habit of trying to understand and comfort others, even if she isn’t great at it. She is in great physical health, and although she forms a barrier between her and the strangers around her, somehow Tehan finds his way into her heart.

Around him, Diana becomes more vulnerable because she is more concerned about his safety rather than her own. She puts Tehan before herself, and this is usually her greatest downfall. Most who know her would say she is an entirely different dog around him, but she denies this almost 80% of the time. Diana doesn’t lie constantly, but she does whenever she feels it’s necessary. Although her stubbornness does tend to stir her actions, Diana is not typically a sore loser. Her pride may be important to her, but her survival is even more so.

Strong Points: Diana is a great athlete and usually unafraid. She has an amazing survival instinct, is honest more than half of the time, and her defensiveness has shaped her into a very tough being. Her tactics can be considered creative, and she is quick to think on her feet. She will back down from a fight she knows she cannot win, so she is not a sore loser. She has the tenacity to get through the rough parts of life, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t get hurt.
Weak Points: She is different around Tehan. With him, she is worried less about her survival and more about his. She would rather protect him and sacrifice herself if it ever came down to it. Her pride is often at stake because of her intelligent tactics, and her reputation is into always the best. She has a tendency to comfort others when she is not really that great at it. She also has a habit of lying whenever she feels cornered, and Diana’s worst fear is to be put in a situation in which she cannot escape.

History: Diana was born in Juneau, Alaska to a bunch of hunters who were extreme in their sport. The days were rough with intense training and constant running. The athletics she was forced to do were what originally shaped her incredibly fit figure. The nights were even worse. The humans would lock her, her parents, and their other hunting dogs in cages every night in order to conserve their strength, and while it wasn't necessarily cruel in action, Diana hated being separated from her parents, and her stubborn want to be with them eventually sealed her fate.

She was turned into a control freak of sorts; she hated being used. Eventually, her personality turned into wild fire. She became an extremely defensive individual, who hated being told what to do. When told a command, she would shrug it off. When split from her parents, she would run back towards them. Insults from the humans told her mind to set up a barrier in which she only trusted her parents. That bond was broken when the hunters began to wonder what the problem was with their once obedient dog.

Diana's parents were torn apart from her when her owners decided to sell them. In their minds, they figured without Diana's parents, she would not be so attached to the other dogs and begin to do her job again. They also came to the conclusion that the two older hunting dogs were beginning to age visibly; they wouldn't be able to hunt for much longer without falling behind. In thinking that this would get Diana to revert to her puppy-like self, the hunters were incredibly foolish.

This was the last straw. Diana refused to be treated in such an offensive manner and was overwhelmingly upset that her parents were gone from her grasp. She thought of a plan in which she could escape from her owners' hands, and when she figured out the kinks to it, her first countering tactics were put into play. The next morning, she and two other dogs were taken up a mountain to look for a few rabbits that were rumored to thrive in the area. Diana trotted along with her fellow hunting dogs, acting cool up until the point where she saw an open field. There were rabbits everywhere, and when the lead hunter whistled, signaling that they should begin their chase, Diana sprinted.

The other two dogs were adjacent to each of her flanks, intending to go for the rabbits, but Diana ran past the field and into the beyond. Her owners realized what she was attempting a minute too late, and when they began to chase her, they were losing the race. They were hot on her heels for quite some time, but her former humans did not have the endurance that they had forced her to build. She continued to sprint until she was entirely exhausted, and she trudged to the nearest town - Nome, Alaska. This seemed a perfect place to hide from her owners, who were surely still looking for her and attempting to get her back.

She quickly assessed the area, attempting t find a group of dogs in which she could blend in easily. After a few days of asking the dogs around town, Diana finally found her way to an unassuming, small group of dogs. This was a perfect little gang. It was quiet enough, not too noticeable, and held a certain dog who caught her eye.
Opinion on Tehan: She thinks of Tehan as the only one who's willing to accept her. She is extremely protective of him as she knows that his personality does not always warrant brave. She would rather put herself in harm's way than ever let someone hurt him, and that is her first priority when it comes to Tehan. She thinks of him as undefended, despite the fact that he is not helpless. She enjoys his company and would rather be with him than someone else whom she is not familiar with. She thinks of him as her only real family.
How did s/he met Tehan?: While being apart of the group, she began to notice that Tehan always hung in the background. Tilting her ears one day at noticing his appearance, she trotted up to him and introduced herself. Although he was shy at first, she quickly warmed up to him, and began to put her defensive traits into action. It came to a point where she lost all of her qualms about herself when she was around Tehan, and she liked that aspect about him a lot.
Pups?: n/a
Other: She wears a green collar from the hunters/humans previously. This scares her a bit because she is still, to this day, worried that they might find her again.

Moki Hunter - Wow, I really, really like her! She does seem like the kind of dog for Tehan, heh. I'm still going to wait and see if anyone else joins, but I really like Diana so far :3
