Zac was unaware of the person following closely at his heels. He simply shrugged at Luna's new question. A reply crossed his lips as his eyes turned to look at her. "I'm not sure. As I said before, I'm a bit new here, so..." he shrugged again, but let a smile pass across his face. He thought he heard a few footsteps behind him, even though he couldn't smell anything, and turned swiftly around to see what it could possibly be.

Eyebrows distanced from the blue windows pupils furrowed, and Zac's expression switched to one of confusion. He shook it off and turned back, somewhat dumbfounded by what he just experienced. He could have been sure someone was behind him... Oh well. The feeling would pass, he guessed.

By that time, they suddenly came up to a slightly run-down house, but overall good looking. Zac looked at Luna and hesitantly made his way to the doorway. He took the piece of paper out of his jacket and looked at it slowly before reaching his hand towards the base of the door. His hand struck against it a few times before he backed away from it.

He took another look at Luna, as if to gain some composure from what he should do next.

Accepted!!

Edit: Just a note to anybody wanting to join and to current members, I will not be accepting anymore characters already in the foster home. My reason for this is that I want all the foster wolves to have an established relationship with one another, and that cannot happen if new wolves are constantly being added. I will, however, still accepted lone wolves and humans. Both of these characters have the opportunity to become part of the Silver Foster House.

Also, one more note, if anyone wants to join as another characters who is not a werewolf or human (i.e. vampire, witch, werewolf hunter, ect...), you can PM me a bio and a short paragraph of what your character would bring to the roleplay. Wait until I accept your character through PMs before posting the bio on this topic and posting as this character. I want to expand the story of this roleplay, so some dangerous creatures would add some action and excitement. If you have any ideas for new characters or new events, feel free to PM me!

Gender: Male
Name: Ashton
Nicknames: Ash
Age: Has been 17 years old for nearly 180 years.
Gender: Male
Personality: Ashton's usual demeanor consists of being sly, defying, rebellious, and overall almost evil. Everyone else seems to classify him as just that upon first meeting him. He is like this naturally. On the outside... He's very impulsive, and actually confused and hurt on the inside. Though he'd never admit that to anyone else unless he was forced to. Ashton is very troubled when it comes to his past, or just emotions in general, and most of the time just tries his best to hide them. He'll do anything to make certain no one sees that. If someone happens to, and would try to know him better, they would see the person underneath. The part that's still somewhat human. His lost soul is crying inside, desperately seeking help, but confusion has invaded his mind, leaving behind a trail of thoughts leading him to believe he has to act like a true monster to evade his past and his feelings. He will betray you if he feels fit, and kills as if trying to prove he feels no remorse.
History: By Ash's 15th birthday, he had already begun to feel slightly rebellious towards his parents. He had always been a good student in school, never really disobeyed anyone, but all of a sudden, when his grades slipped a bit from stress, his parents couldn't handle it? They yelled and shouted at him as if he were a dog. He didn't like it one bit.
This was where a split personality started forming. He was hurt that his parents couldn't accept him, in some form or another, but at the same time began feeling it was his duty to defy them in order to show he wouldn't take it anymore. He slowly began letting his grades slip, more and more.
Every day his parents would yell even more at him, and this caused even more damage. Ashton began confusing everything. He had forgotten rational explanation, and it was beyond his understanding by now that his rebellious ways were making matters worse. It came to a point where his father slapped him across the face, so hard the teenager was knocked off his feet. He let out a few tears, the last he swore he'd ever shed, and ran out the door. His older brother followed him, little to Ashton's knowledge, in an attempt to try and convince him to come back.
Ashton ran through the city, far far away from his old home. He wanted nothing to do with his old life anymore. He wouldn't show weakness ever again. Not on the outside, at least. He'd bottle it up forever if he had to. And then it happened.
While stumbling upon one of the various alleys in the streets, he slipped against the wall and allowed himself to feel the pain, taking it all in like battle wounds.
Suddenly, the now 17 year old was confronted with a creature of darkness. A vampire. He didn't know it, either, until he felt blood across his mouth, that wasn't even his, and then fangs in his throat. He died then with another vampire's blood in his system. He awakened to find his brother leaning over his body, trying to help him up as Ashton's vision began fuzzing and clearing.
Ashton barely recognized his brother, and it was only after he nearly killed him did he realize there was strange blood spewn all over the floor. He felt his own neck. There were two bite marks there that would forever remain. He was horrified as he saw his brother's nearly dead body on the ground, and fled the scene quicker than any average human could.
He eventually went back home to get some things before he left town, but when he came, his parents were there to greet him with glares of hatred. They had found out about his brother. And they thought he was the murderer. His own parents attempted to kill their 'last' son. They shot him with bullets, they stabbed him with knives, but to Ashton's astonishment, nothing really bothered him. Except that his own parents were trying to murder him in cold blood. This was the ultimate breaking point, and he killed his parents out of rage. He drank their blood with savage delight, and later found his brother. Before his brother died, he tried the same thing that had happened to him. He gave his brother his own blood, then killed him for good. His brother was now a vampire too, and didn't like it. They grew apart overtime, even though they still held a brotherly bond for each other that could never be broken.
Before they were torn apart, though, they each received a matching pendant from a witch who wanted them gone from town. She hated the bloodshed and offered them a trip out of having to hide from the sun in exchange for them leaving innocent blood out of her town. They accepted, of course, and from then on were able to walk during the day without so much as a mild burn.
Ashton has a tattoo of a cross on his chest, as mild humor for himself, but he is aching inside like no one would ever know. And he's acted out in vain because of it. For all these years since...
Crush: Eh... I dunno bout this yet.
Mate: None
Children: None
Werewolf/lonewolf/human: Vampire
School?: None. He doesn't go anymore.
Age bitten: 17
Age they came: -
Family: His brother is all he has left, since he turned him into a vampire. Though he has no clue where he is.
Other: Weaknesses that should affect him are the sun, wood (wooden stakes to the heart kill/bullets weaken them, etc.), a certain herb or two that are poisonous to and weaken his kind, and some witch spells depending on their potency. But no witch spell can kill vampires. He has a pendant around his neck that was charmed by a witch so he can't be harmed by the sun unless someone were to take it off. Though, he is always stronger at night then he is during the day, naturally.

Ashton kicked on his heels around a new town. This one had a strange scent to it. One that almost burned his nostrils when he tried to inhale it, but new in some way. He thought he had recognized the vaguest forms of it, but then again his memory could be deceiving him. Like it always was. It was either that or betrayal coming from his mind, making him remember things that he wanted to bury so far down.

He stopped in mid-walk as he came towards a school. It was empty, for sure, but the strange scent seemed to linger here. It was fresh. Whatever or whoever it was coming from had just been here. He kneeled down half-way once he got to the entrance. With his fingers, he scraped up the remnants of a footprint and brought it to his nose. Sniffing it, he almost recoiled at the pure power of it. Whatever this was coming from was strong. Almost like a dark power... Ashton wondered. Could this creature or these creatures be as strong as him? Certainly it wasn't a vampire. He knew what they smelled like. He was one. It was something else...

Suddenly out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a piece of paper scattering across the floor. Clearly someone had dropped it. With a look of apprehension, he picked it up with smooth hands and read the black on white. Werewolf foster home? Ash mentally scolded himself. Werewolves! How could he have missed it?

He re-read the address at the bottom and grinned just the slimmest smile, but bad-intentioned filled either way. He crumbled up the paper, threw it behind his back, and turned to walk in the direction of not only the address, but the overpowering smell that was fairly recent since he arrived in this area.

Laika swallowed the last warm bite of the soup, savoring the flavor. "Th-thank you, Ms. Silvers," she stuttered out, her voice soft and quiet. "For the food....and for letting me stay here. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't." A self-conscious blush tinged her cheeks red, and she looked down at her empty bowl.

-------

Full Name: Rissa Naomi Harou
Nicknames: She prefers her full name.
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Personality: She has a fiery personality, and a sharp tongue to go with it. Rissa rarely loses and arguement, and despite her small size, she can be quite intimidating when she wants to be. She is curious and can be friendly and loyal, but has to get to know someone first. She hates superstition, and will often try to knock sense into people about it. Rissa can have a soft spot for certain people, but that special place in her heart is hard to achieve.
History: Her parents were highly superstitious, which was unfortunate in the years to come. When young Rissa was born, they suspected nothing, merely enjoying their new daughter. However, when she was three, odd events began to happen. At first, they didn't suspect the toddler, but after a while, all clues did point to her.

Rissa's bond with her parents was slowly broken, and by the time she was seven, only four years later, she had had enough. She had formed a bond with an old woman who lived a few houses down, who had first revealed to her she was a witch. Rissa grew up with her, fascinated in "witchcraft". She had a special knack with herbs and talismans.

Before the woman died, she handed to Rissa two things; a book of instruction and guidance, and a necklace composed of a thin leather strip with a silver star dangling from it, a golden bead on either side. The necklace, she explained, would warn her of creatures of evil, who had no good intention. The star would shine faintly, and become heated, fading when the danger had passed.

When the woman died, Rissa barely had time to mourn before a fire ravaged the house. Rissa escaped with her life and the necklace, but the book and her tarnished childhood were lost to the flames. She became a wanderer, never staying in one place too long.
Crush: For now, none.
Mate: None
Children: None
Werewolf/lonewolf/human: Witch
School?: No.
Family: Her parents, while alive, she never thinks of. The one person who cared for her died.
Other: None
Font: This
Human Appearence: Her hair is a deep red, curly and often messy. It reaches past her shoulders, to the middle of her ribcage. Freckles dot the bridge of her nose, fading somewhat as they touch her cheeks. Her dark green eyes have a friendly, michevious glint to them, tainted somewhat by saddened memories. She is short, though none the less intimidating when she needs to be.

Tears trickled down her cheeks in a rare moment of emotion. She sat up in her bed, squeezing her eyes shut as a flood of memories washed over her. She could still remember the day her parents began to fear and shun her as clearly as it was yesterday...

"Rissa!" Her mother's voice called, soft affection clear as she repeated her young child's name. "Rissa!"

"I'm right here, Mama," she smiled, clutching her ragged teddy bear, Cuddles. She was scooped up by loving arms, and as she giggled in delight, the vegetables her mother was cutting sliced themselves. Placing Rissa down, the mother turned her attention back to the dinner she was preparing. "Huh...?" she murmured, confused. She had been sure those hadn't been sliced! Oh well. Placing them in the pan to cook, she gave them a light sprinkle of seasoning.

When she placed it down, a few of the spices continued to stream out over the vegetables. Eyes widening, she turned to her giggling child. "Did you do that?"

"Do what, Mommy?" Rissa asked innocently, green eyes puzzled and questioning. The mother shook her head. "Nothing," she murmured. But she couldn't help remembering the other times odd things had happened...always while Rissa was around. "I'll go get Daddy for dinner," she said, shooting a fearful glance at the toddler.

Confused, Rissa nodded, cuddling her stuffed animal as she waited. Her father came out a bit later, towering over her. She whimpered at the cold look on her parent's faces as the scowled at her. She hadn't done anything! Why were they looking at her like that?

"Mommy? Daddy?" Rissa whimpered, green eyes tearing up.

"You didn't tell us you were...a witch?" Her mother whispered the word like it was a curse.

"N-no. I didn't know."

"We have no room for witchcraft in this household," her father said sternly. Tears flooded over, flooding down Rissa's cheeks. "I didn't know! Mommy, Daddy!" she cried, wanting some comfort. The only comfort she got was from hugging Cuddles tightly to her chest. Sobbing, she slowly sank to the floor as her parents both turned away, expressionless.

To this day, she still retained the teddy bear. It had somehow survived years od battering. Rissa dried her tears on her blankets, morning sunlight streaming through the window. Hugging Cuddles tightly, she tried to push the memories away. She slid out of bed, pulling on clothes quickly. She ran a hairbrush quickly through her hair, unable to stay in any longer.

Rissa ran outside, breathing in the morning air gratefully, trying to erase the pain her memories brought.

Luna hesitated when Zac fell a few steps behind her and he suddenly wiped around, his eyes searching for something he obviously wasn't able to see. Luna closed her eyes and took a deep breath through her nose, scenting the air. But, unfortunately, they were standing up wind from the place Zac was facing and Luna couldn't smell a thing other than the two of them. Just a pair of lones wolves and the odor of the town and the humans inside of it.

"I don't think there's anything there," Luna said a bit condescendingly when her ears didn't pick up a hint of movement either. "Why don't we just... keep going," she suggested, wondering why Zac seemed so concerned about the nonexistent noise that he had heard.

When they finally came to the large foster house, which looked like it had once been a grand Victorian until it had been over-run with werewolves, Luna had paused just long enough to be a step behind Zac, keeping him between herself and the house. Despite her distrust of this place, she couldn't keep her eyes off of the peeling paint. Several different scents, all belonging to a different wolf, filled her nostrils, and her mind was suddenly over-flowing with the memories of her past "pack."

There was a reason she had decided never to join a pack, and the flooding of all these different scents surrounding her reminded her of exactly why. She felt sufficated just be the idea of entering the house, so she turned away from the house and started down the front porch steps again. "I can't do it," she muttered under her breath.

Griffin quickly turned his head when he heard a slight knocking at the front door. "Twice in one day?" he asked, mostly to himself. Seeing that his mother was pre-occupied with their previous visitor, Griffin decided he'd better get the door this time.

He took his time walking to the front room, glancing out the window to try and peek at who it was. A flash of red hair caught his eye though, and he was instantly distracted by the girl her ran down the street as fast as she could. He wondered what she had been doing so close to the house, but shrugged it off. It was only natural for the humans to get suspicious of the old house every once in a while. Still, if she ever came back again, Griffin would have to do something.

Finally, after gathering his thoughts back up, Griffin craned his neck around the window pane and caught sight of a dark-haired boy and girl, the latter of which was quickly heading away from the house.

Bree didn't stop running until she had reached another corner two streets away from the mysterious house. As she finally came to a stop, she panted heavily, lifting her head to stare at the sky and scold herself for being so reckless.

She had finally come to realization that she had been spying, spying, on other people. What was wrong with her? Regaing her composure, Bree finally began her morning jog once again, only to slam into another red-haired girl as soon as she turned the next corner.

Taking advantage of Griffin's absence, Matt slunk back into the living room, quietly taking back his seat beside Laia. "I could show you to your room," he suggested. "If thats alright with you, Mom," he added, remembering that it was ultimately her decision of Laia stayed her not.

Rissa had only been running a short amount of time before she found herself on the sidewalk, breathless. Looking up, she saw a teenage girl, probably around her age. She stood up, her hands smarting from being scraped over the rough pavement. "Oh, sorry," she murmured, brushing of her palms on her jeans. "I wasn't looking where I was going."

A quick glance assured her the other girl was alright as well. She offered her hand, forcing a small grin onto her pale face. "I'm Rissa," she greeted. "Are you alright?"

Laika gave a small nod in reply, even though no agreement had been given on Mrs. Silvers part yet.

Zac's eyes followed the female as she slowly tried to walk away. It wasn't really his place to stop her. They weren't really the best of friends. Heck, if it had been night time, he would have tried to attack her. Only day had saved her, and although he was reluctant to admit it, and him both.

Though, even though he had only known her for a few minutes, he felt as if it was his duty to make her give herself a chance. He spoke his next thoughts out. "I think we should try," he began, purposely putting in the 'we'. "I mean, I know it may be overwhelming, but maybe it would be better...?" He tried to think of a bit more of his next words. He tried to plan them out so they sounded at least a bit inspirational. "I know that I haven't had much fun being lonely. Even with the benefit of not having a thousand scents up my nose."

He tried to give a faint smile, then abruptly noticed a streak of red out of the corner of his eye. He turned just in time to see a girl rounding a corner, but since she seemed to have disappeared around that corner, he dismissed the sighting. He should have thought something more of the... it was a girl, right? Judging from the brief look of long red hair still in his memory. Well, he should have thought upon that more, but being as she seemed to be gone, he didn't want to go into things that weren't more important than the matter at hand.

He needed to try and convince Luna to give this a chance. And if not her, then himself.

Ashton's eyebrow perked when he rounded another corner, just in time to see a few interesting things. The first thing he sensed was a watchful eye on two figures near a dilapidated house. The pair of eyes the sense was coming from were no where to be seen, though. Even if his nostrils could pick up that powerful and sickly scent. It wasn't the gagging kind, but more of the type of smell that tried to scream 'Danger' or 'Get away' all over it. Then again, Ashton wasn't really one to follow rules.

That was another thing, the smells. When he had reached this area, that smell that had pulled him across to this place finally became visible, all too well. It was dominating his nose, and he wasn't too sure he liked it. He'd get used to it if he forced himself to and with the aid of time, Ashton told himself. Though there seemed to be a flurry of them. Like a dozen different trails of it leaving their mark on the air.

The first thing his eyes picked up was the collision of two red headed girls. One's hair was much darker than the other, but no matter what they looked like, Ashton knew he had to hide. Humans seeing him wouldn't be good. Werewolves seeing him would be even worse.

As he laid against a nearby wall to watch, he wasn't counting on one of them being a witch at all. Little to his knowledge did he figure that the necklace upon the darker red headed girl's neck wasn't just a trinket, but a powerful tool.

Luna stopped when Zac spoke, but she did not turn around. She tried to listen to his words, but he just didn't understand. She'd only ever had one pack in her life, and they weren't exactly caring or even civil towards her most of the time. She thought she had learned that not all packs were this way, but this moment proved that she still associated hurt and disappointment with a wolf pack.

"Have you ever even had a pack before?" she asked Zac with a seemingly hateful tone. But just as this questions was out in the air, the front door suddenly opened. Still, she didn't turned around, ready to run the first chance she had.

Griffin walked away from the window and gripped the door knob, debating opening the door. Maybe if he waited long enough, the female would leave and take the male away too. But his conscience finally got the better of him, and Griffin pulled the door open. "Can I help you?" he asked them, glad to smell that they were both werewolves this time.

Bree landed on her butt hard and a long scratch traced her arm from shoulder to the inside of her elbow. "No, no, it's my fault," she said quickly to the girl whom she had run into. "I'm just a little distracted today," she added with a shrug before picking herself up.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little scratch," she replied to the question, lifting her arm to motion to the now bleeding minor wound. "It looks worse than it is," she said in a reassuring voice, noticing that the scratch actually did look much more gruesome and painful than it was. "By the way, my name's Bridget, but you can just call me Bree. Everyone else does.'

Matt looked at his foster mother when pleading eyes, hoping that she would allow the human girl to stay. Finally, the alpha female reluctantly nodded, not seeing the harm in letting Laia stay for a few days. She had enough confidence in her young pack that they would behave themselves while the human was in their mist.

"Yes!" Matt hollered excitedly, grabbing Laia by the wrist and jumping off the couch with her in tow. He was halfway out the door before he called over his shoulder, "Thanks, Mom!"

"I'm a bit distracted myself," Rissa said, as she rummaged for a band-aid. Of course, she didn't have any on her. "I'm Rissa," she introduced, a small friendly smile forming. "Do you want to come inside real quick? You could use a band-aid," she offered, gesturing to the house only a few doors away.

Laika was surprised by the enthusiastic reaction, but pleased nonetheless. Matt grabbed her wrist, and pulled her out the door. She managed a small thank you as well.

OOC: D'aw that's so sweet (: I love the character pictures with quotes <3

Zac could sense the growing hatred and resentment in Luna's voice and felt a deep feeling. He wanted so badly for her to come with him. Even though he wasn't sure why. He had only just known her for no more than, what? Twenty minutes? Half an hour? But he felt some kind of connection to her that he hadn't known until now. Or maybe he did, but he just didn't remember.

The only thing he could guess was that it was due to her company, if nothing else. The fact that he'd been alone so long was treading on his heels so much it didn't even want to be considered a factor. But that was his best prediction. Maybe he felt close to her because she was the first creature like him that he had known or been around. Or perhaps it was something else... He couldn't be sure.

He wanted to say something and comfort her, but his gut told him otherwise. When he finally built up the courage to answer, the door swung open. He didn't bother to look either, until he finally swallowed his pride and said the honest thing. "No, never." He knew what those simple words could mean to her, judging from her new gained outlook and aura.

They could be presented as different things though. On one side, you had a pair of words that meant a difference. He had never known a pack before, and was willing to try something new, even if it seemed an unsure idea. It showed valiant courage and bravery. A look on life that meant he wasn't afraid. Or that he was willing to give up his old self to become someone new, despite not having past knowledge.

On the other hand, though, it could have showed great stupidity. Here he was, a lone wolf who had never seemed to have a problem, willing to give up freedom, a good enough life, and a thousand other benefits just for the sake of not being lonely anymore.

But with that, he had to choose. And his decision seemed final. He turned his body around to face Griffin, ignoring the two other teenagers running out past them. "I've heard," he began, purposely forgetting the 'we' this time, "that this is a foster home." He paused, letting the vision of what he could see inside the house and the stranger in front of him, sink in. "I've also heard, that werewolves are welcome here." His voice was all but used in a hushed tone. He pulled out the crumbled paper from his pocket and handed it to Griffin.

Ashton was fully aware of all the ruckus going on in the werewolf house. But for now, his focus remained on the two redheads and their unwanted stalker. He turned his body around to try and find the watchful eyes, but again, came up short handed. It was starting to frustrate him how he couldn't use his enhanced senses to find something he was looking for. But then again, since it was a werewolf most likely, how could he?

His eyes gazed back to the two female figures and he continued to watch himself. He took a dangerous step closer, not knowing and not much caring the trouble he could get into. Now, his sights were set on something he wasn't sure he could restrain himself from. The wound on one of them... it seemed gaping and wide. And... it was bleeding.

Oh no. Not here, not now. Ashton scolded himself. He needed to keep his cover. But he could already feel his fangs elongating, his body trying to posture itself to pounce. He wouldn't allow it. The fangs continued to grow, but he moved his muscles fluidly. In such a way that they couldn't control themselves. He was the master of his own body. He was the one who controlled its functions. And he didn't take 'no' as an answer.

Still, his throat was aching. He knew he couldn't do anything, though. He would make a scene, if he gave into the urge. He would disturb the two humans (one of which wasn't exactly human, though he didn't sense her supernatural aura), wreak havoc with the blood spewing everywhere, and then the werewolves would come and smack him with a stake. That may not have exactly been the case. However, it could very well be, too. So, for now, he stood hidden in the shadows.

He dared to take a few steps closer and stopped just before the wall's corner ended. He didn't want one of them seeing him. Then he heard something about 'inside' and saw a pointing finger from his vantage point. So, the girl had a house not too far, he guessed. That would be cool... spy on two humans and see what they did with the wound.

Maybe not his smartest idea, but it sure would be fun to do.
