How is this not a topic yet??

Nintendo has announced a new Generation of Pokemon games being released in October this year!
It'll be released on the 3DS and will be the first completely 3D Pokemon - no more sprites!
Plus a whole new generation of Pokemon!

So far the only released designs are the 3 starter pokemon, following the same Grass, Water & Fire pattern; Froakie, Chespin & Fennekin.

Then 2 new legendaries, X & Y.

It looks like the game will probably follow the same general idea as all Pokemon games, but thus far the new Gen is looking pretty awesome!
I love those legendaries and I am SO picking Fennekin. Although Chespin looks really awesome too. ;;

The legendaries are Xerneas and Yveltal.

I must say, this is rather exciting! With Black and White, nobody really liked the Pokemon to begin with; they had to warm up to it all. This time, however, it seems everyone really likes most of the Pokemon right off the bat! (Except Froakie, poor frog.)

I'm going to save up for a 3DS just so I can buy these games. It's 10 months away, I know, but hey this is something to be excited about!

Ooooh awesome! I'd not looked up their full names. xD
Wonder if the third version is gonna be Z? Lot of people reckon it probably will be. Make a complete set of axis (axi? axis's? axises? one of them. |D)
Most people seemed to think they were chromosomes too though, hope we get an answer about that seeing as previously they've been based on colours mostly.

I'm gonna save up for a 3DS specifically for this game too. 8D
I wasn't gonna bother, happy with my DSLite really, but new Pokemon game?
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. |8

I am so excited about this game! I'm really glad I already have a 3DS.

The Pokémon designs look a lot better than in generation five. There were very few Pokémon that I liked in that gen, the plot is what made those games honestly. I'm really hoping the rest of the six gen Pokémon won't let me down. I honestly never use legendaries, so the designs of them don't mean much to me, however Yveltal and Xerneas look particularly amazing! I can't wait to see them in-game.

Also, X and Y are supposed to feature Pokémon from all generations! That makes me happy because even if I don't like the other Pokémon designs (or the plot) it will still be playable for me.

It's a stretch, but I think it's supposed to make an X by stretching out its front legs. Then its horns and legs would make the X shape. Like I said, it's a stretch because I don't think they've shown anything of it doing that, but it would work if it did.
