Oh, God, I thought someone would NEVER ask
Here's the reasons why I hate Aleu:
1) Because her personality was a COMPLETE knock-off of Kiara in Lion King 2. If you compare the two, they are exactly the same (minus the love-interest) Both are confused about who they are. They're both stubborn. They both defy their fathers. They both are destined to be leaders. They both have a childish way of looking at things. They both mature "all of a sudden" at the very end of the movie. So, her personality basically being unoriginal is one reason why I don't like her.
2) Her proportions are WAAAAAAAY off (and this can go for any other character in the second movie) to the point where they are sickening and frightening. I'll let some of her traits fly, like the shape of her eyes and her fur color. But some won't pass: Like her extremely long, arched neck. If that were a real proportion of a wolf/dog hybrid, she'd fall over herself. Ok, so that's not REALLY a reason, but I can still point it out.
3) Her voice is irritating beyond belief. It was both nasally and squeaky; two VERY annoying traits of anyone's voice for that matter. Her voice was often monotone, which didn't make it anymore pleasant to listen to. And above all, her singing SUCKED. I don't know about you, but I think Muru was smoking something when he said her voice was "quite beautiful" The only characters I thought had a very accurate perspective on her singing were her siblings.
4) She has no sense of morality. She basically hated her father for soemthing he had no control of (being part wolf, which his parents were responsible for obviously) She handled the fact that she was part wolf worse than her father did in the first movie, and she 's even less wolf than he is. So no one wanted to adopt her? Big deal, that's no reason to hate your heritage and making her father even more embarrassed about it. So, she didn't want to rely on her father for a place to live. All she needed to do was travel somewhere else (afterall, it worked just fine before)
5) She was very immoral and immature and handled almost every distuation childishly. I know she was only a year old, but that just proves my point that she was not meant to lead an ENTIRE wolf pack (at least not right away) But let's stay on track, here.
First, she ran away from home, basically just for finding out the reason why no one would adopt her. She basically didn't find out why she was running away until the middle of her travels when she FINALLY wonders where she belongs. So that was basically a fluke.
Second, denying herself being a wolf and growling at an innocent little mouse for no apparent reason ("I'm NOT a wolf" and "I'm Aleu! Daughter of Balto and Jenna, who HAPPENS to be a purebred huskie! Who are YOU! *growl*")
Third, the constant arguing with her father of her being "too old to be bossed around." If she were mature, she wouldn't have run away blindly.
Fourth, her threatening approach to Niju. He was clearly just speaking his mind, and Aleu, basically who is completely new to the situation of the wolf pack, just randomly snarls and tries to corner Niju into a fight.
Fifth, her automatic and clueless assumption that Niju was afraid to cross the ocean. Bad things happen to those who just assume things. But no! Wait! All of that immaturity just magically disappears at the very end! "But I DO belong here..." WHOA! Where'd that come from? "She's the one who is wolf but does not know!" One little problem there...she KNEW she was a wolf! That's what started this whole situation!
6) Her constant fixing of grammer. Yes, it is rather annoying to hear improper English (trust me, I know) But she doesn't even take into consideration that the ones using the English are foreign! Like Boris or Yak, for instance. So you want to hear the English language used properly? Heck, be THANKFUL that they know how to even SPEAK English for cripes sake!
7) Her lack of fighting skills. Yes, there are those who can't fight well, but that's no excuse for an animal. Every animal has an instinct inside them that knows how to fight. And...well...I guess Aleu didn't have one, or something, because her fighting skills were atrocious. She didn't even bite Niju or anything when he was throwing her around. She had every opportunity in the world to, and she didn't. Her daddy had to come and rescue her.
Well, I KNOW that there's more to me not liking her, but I can't think of anymore. So I'll give you all that to chew on, for now
