I wouldn't say that I hate Aleu but I couldn't stand or believe the choices she made plus that voice of hers did not sound at all right to me.

"I've watched Balto 2 and Aleu was whiny and Bratty in only ONE Part"

Then you may want to review the film, because I can count Aleu being disrespectful more than one time.

Boris - Aleu, how can I baby sit if you won't sit? You don't sit nowhere for more than five seconds.
Aleu - That's anywhere, uncle Boris.
Boris - What's anywhere? Don't try to confuse me young lady, I'm your baby sister.
Aleu - Uncle Boris, since I'm not a baby anymore I don't need a baby sitter, and you can tell that to my father.
Balto - Come on Aleu, you will always be my baby, no matter how old you are.
Aleu - Ugh, you're hopeless... Let's go.
Aleu - What's gonna happen when a human picks up, huh papa? Who are you gonna baby then?

And pretty much almost every line she says after this scene is disrespectful.

Also, if you watch her body language when she says these lines, often times you can see her expressions aren't exactly what you would call being "respectful".

"I love aleu because she has her father Balto's old self from the first movie"

I'm not really seeing Balto in Aleu's character. Plus, Phil Weinstein didn't even see the first movie when he directed Balto II, so having any of Balto's personality is rather out of the question.

Could you explain a bit more why you think Aleu is better than Kodi?

And that makes Kodi boring? I'm sorry, but that doesn't really make any sense.

I don't really view Kodi as being a disrespectful character, he just lost track of what was more important.

If you watch, you can see Kodi crack twice. The first time when Balto goes to the boiler room to see if they would help search for Duke. When Balto leaves the boiler room Kodi says, "dad, wait!". Balto stops for a moment and then shakes his head and walks off. Kodi then makes an expression of shock. The second crack is after Jenna talks with him and he makes an expression of guilt.

I agree with Mighty. I know because i watched the 3rd movie, and Kodi is a better character then Aleu. Even if Aleu is my favorite character.

Hey! Yeah, I had the same question too before. Then, it was realized. A lot of people hate Aleu, Because she stubbourn. Everyone thinks shes dramatic, They also thought it was a bad idea to just run away because of finding out her heritage. Im sorry if I didn't really answer your question Im new, lol

There are a few things that fans don't like about Aleu... or at least the THREE basic reasons of why an Aleu-hater hates this quarter-wolf:

- She's whiny.
Except for the couple of times that we see her as a puppy, she is quite the whiny brat. As a yearling, she's rather snooty and complains. This also includes her voice, thanks to actress Lacey Chabert [who some have said her voice sounds like one of the Chipettes].

- She runs away for a stupid reason.
She's angry at her dad because he's half wolf and she has his genes, thus meaning she'll never be adopted by a person like her siblings. Aleu's reaction [in a summarized way, mind you]? "Oh my Aniu, my life is over! I hate you, Dad!" ...and then she runs away because of it. No, really... that is quite stupid. Aleu doesn't even know where she's headed to, but dang it, she hates being related to the wolf, despite showing many of the mannerisms and the appearance. It's naive and stupid, altogether. Plus, she never apologizes for running away either. But then again, Balto never brings that up... and neither does she.

- She doesn't really do much of ANYTHING and gets her 'Happy Ending' anyway.
Seriously, she sucks at fighting and has to have her dad bail her out, but in the end, Aleu just knows that she's supposed to be the new leader? Girl, all you can do is howl and look wild, but that's basically it. She's young and just changes her thoughts on being called a wolf... by living as a wolf-pack leader. That makes no sense after over an hour of the film and even I know that is a one-way ticket to her probably not lasting a day as a wolf. Seriously, she's like a whinier version of Ariel, the Little Mermaid [or some Disney Princesses]- naturally stubborn, defiant and after putting her father through following her scent and saving her life a couple of times, she gets what she wants in the end; in this case, it's the freedom to live her own life.

There are some things to like about her too, but this is not the topic for that.

Overall, Aleu was written to be a typical sequel lead that is young [teenager... ish?], stupid, and needs to learn a lesson about something usually focused on something that one of their parents has a connection to - in Aleu's case, it's the wolf breeding that she and her father share. I know that the story basically falls in the category of "children of the main characters of the first movie learning the same lesson as their parents", but Aleu's issue was all about self-discovery because her dad [and her mom] was stupid enough to keep the obvious truth secret from her for that long.

...Do I really need to say anything else? Probably not. I'm sure most Aleu-haters have their own personal reasons, but I'm sure everyone has a character that we can't stand for some reason... so just chill out. I'm going to Love and Tolerate all the Aleu-haters anyway.

To be honest , I've watched both Balto sequals again just to see if maybe my mind changed about Aleu and Kodi , It did. Both of the. Balto sequals sucked , and to be honest , Aleu and Kodi are both Brats , and I would'nt be surprised if Balto's Other 4 pups were the same. Not to mention , I found Balto to be A horrible father in the Sequals. To me , The first is really the only one worth watching. I found Aleu to be Bratty and get her way , and Kodi to be Arrogant.

How is either Kodi bratty, and how is Balto a bad parent?

Many reasons why. Kodi wanted to leave Duke in the cold Dying , and refused to Follow his Father to help find him, Just because of his Job , Until his mom MADE him go with Balto. Balto IS a bad parent , but I need to find out where I read about it.

That doesn't necessarily make Kodi a bad egg, he just got caught up in his work. In other words, he lost sight in what was more important. Also, Jenna did not force Kodi to go out and help search for Duke. Like any parent would, she lectured him and made him realize what was more important.

Let me get this strait. You said that you reviewed the films and decided that you dislike Aleu, Kodi, and Balto's parenting skills. And yet when I questioned you on that you didn't have a clue to as of why, but that you read it online somewhere.

Ok but everyone Has an opinion. I think both are brats and that won't change. ;P

Mighty is right in what she said. Further, both characters, in the end, did the right thing. But of the two, Aleu was the brat. Kodi was simply a pushover initially...swayed by pressure from his team members to do what the group wanted. In the end, after considering things (and with a nudge or two from both his parents), he followed his conscience and did the right thing. It's clear enough from that scene in the boiler room, where Balto confronts the team, that Kodi doesn't really believe any of that stuff he ends up saying to his father, but that he's knuckling under to pressure from Kirby, Ralph and even Dusty.
