"Smoke?"
"She was right here." said Paka turning his head from side to side.

Hisani then sniffed the air. ''Undani do you smell that?'' She said. Uzuri's eyes grew wide. ''Where is it coming from?'' She asked Nguvu.

"I cant tell." Nguvu said, until a massive, scorching blazing fire caught his eye.
Undani's eyes widened at the forest fire.
"Hisani, get everyone to the ca-Where's Uzuri?!" Undani yelped, he was so worried about his daughter.

Hisani nodded and looked for Uzuri. ''Uzuri?'' She called.

Nguvu had a 'lightbulb' moment. He knew there was a cave nearby where they could stay, protecting them from the colossal wild fire.
"Follow me!" Nguvu told Uzuri.

Uzurir took one last look at the bush from where she came from and then nodded at Nguvu feeling scared and sick to her stomache at the thought of her parents looking for her.

"C'mon, I know a safe place." Nguvu said. He immediately bolted with Uzuri at his side.

"UZURI?'' Hisani called unaware of the danger coming closer.

After a while of running, Nguvu lead Uzuri to a small cave, enough to fit three or four lionesses...squeezed together.
He pushed away a few rib cages from gazelles using his golden paw.
"It's enough room for the both of us it should be safe outside tomorrow." Nguvu said.

Uzuri nodded then curled up in a tight ball and fell asleep quickly hoping tomorrow would come faster.

Nguvu licked her and laid down in the back of the cave.

Uzuri opened her eyes and saw Nguvu in the back of the cave asleep. She got up and quietly walked towards him and layed down beside him.

Hisani looked for Uzuri but couldn't find her she then looked at Undani. ''Oh Undani where could she be?'' She asked sadiness engulfing Hisani.

Nguvu looked down, smiled and licked her again. He then slowly shut his dodger blue eyes.

"I don't know. B-but the fires comin closer." Undani said, worried as ever.
