Right, I had an idea, and as you all know by now, when I have an idea I have to act on it ^^

When I was a little girl I played with My Little Pony toys. I loved them, even if I did prefer realistic ponies to sparkle ponies. So I think it’s great that MLP has returned to mainstream popularity with the pseudo anime My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV series. Now, I must confess I haven’t watched it yet, but I know many people love it, and I personally adore the art style of it. And that got me thinking: why not Pony-fy my SS characters?

By ‘Pony-fy’, what I mean is; make images of my SS characters in MLP style, adding unique Cutie Marks that connect to their names/personalities. Their designs remain largely unchanged, although some of them are simplified.

So that’s what I’m doing. It’s an on-going project, since I have so many SS characters. And since I’m using bases for my characters, I can’t upload them to Spirit Source, neither can I put them on deviantART, since I don’t have an account there. So I’m putting them in a private folder in my Photobucket account. Why private? So they don’t get stolen. I’m not bothered about people stealing the art, since they’re made from bases anyway. Rather, I don’t want my characters to get stolen.

If you want to see my Pony-fied SS characters, click this link. To access the folder, the password is the name of my first character on SS, with a capital first letter. If you were here when I joined SS, you should know who my first character was. If you weren’t or can’t remember, look through my Images gallery for the answer. That’s all the clues I’ll give you.

Now it’s your turn. I’m having so much fun Pony-fying my SS characters that I want to encourage other people to do the same. So grab yourselves some free bases and get creative ^^ And if you want to, post your finished designs, or a link to them, here for everyone else to see.

Rules:
- If you use free lineart/bases/renders/vectors, ALWAYS credit the artist who produced them, and follow their rules for using their art.
- DO NOT steal or copy other people’s characters or designs!
- Think up your own unique Cutie Marks; don’t just copy other people/existing ponies.
- MLP is © Hasbro and Lauren Faust.

Sure. But what's the difference between a vector and a render?

a vector is ,to put simply, a high quality image which can be re sized and still show details unlike other images which will lose details ect
