Plot -
A few miles from Nome, Alaska there is a small town. A town called Takotna. It has been exactly one year since the very first Iditatrod came to the town. Balto, Jenna and their pups have all made a come back to come and race in the Iditarod. Dogs and their mushers have come around to train and run in competitions and races to see the fastest dogs. Now the dogs have exactly 4 months to train for the next Iditarod. New dogs have come to town with new mushers from other parts of Alaska and Canada. This is the only time of the year that the weather is unpredictable and mother nature is giving no fair warning or signs of weather change. Will the racers from Takotna be in Mother Nature's favor or on the low end.

Personality: Roman is a very spunky and loving puppy with a lot of attitude and feeling. His temperament is super sweet. He has a competitive side to him, getting it from his father Steele. Roman enjoys kids and he enjoys taking long walks in the snow. He is a natural born sled puller with a knack for adventure and endurance. He loves to meet new people but he gets a little shy around other dogs, especially other sled dogs. Since he is just a rookie. Although he doesn’t like baths he loves water.

Likes: Meeting new people, running in the snow, playing, chew toys, being praised and racing

Hates: Bath time

Fears: Bears and wolves

Wants: To win a race, to be on an actual sled team, to see a real live fox and to chew the world’s biggest bone.

History:
Roman was born the 3rd in a litter of 5 other pups. Being slightly smaller of the first 4 puppies in the litter, Roman was the owner's favorite. His spunky attitude with a fiery will to work always impressed people of all ages, even the mushers. When Roman was 8 weeks old he was given to a 15 year old girl named Ginger for her birthday. Exactly one year before the very first iditarod.

Ginger hitched Roman up to a sled for the very first time when he was only a month old, seeing how much he loved being able to work. She had gotten an idea. She'd race in the iditarod too! So the training began that long and hard year, only proving that Roman wasn't going to give up and neither was Ginger. One night though their training was put to the test when they gathered all the dogs together for a quick race, to determing what dogs would be on a certain sled team. Team 1.

With the sound of a gun being fired the dogs ran from the starting line, some pulling ahead of others. During the race though Roman had a little encounter with another dog, Java, who was a very sore loser. Well one thing led to another and soon the owners got involved. Ginger pulling Roman from Java's jaws, and Java's owner Mike puling Java off of Roman. The pup was a little shaken from the fight but not injured. Both dogs were disqualified.

Roman was ashamed that he let his dominant nature get the better of him. Ginger though held no grudge against the poor puppy. They contiuned their walks and they continued their training and retried with racing again. Ginger decided she'd make her own sled team from her other dogs. Toni, Hige, Nix, Brock, Rocky, Roo, Louie, Gwen, Gibson and Uri. Roman being the lead dog.

When the iditarod came around Roman and his team were ready, pulling in second place in the races. They recieved a silver medal but Roman got a ribbon for being the youngest dog ever to run the iditarod and finish it. Ginger was so proud of her little boy that she gave him more and more praise, taking him on a 4 day long nature trip with her while the other dogs stayed home.

During the trip Roman went out adventuring on his own one day, Ginger away hunting. Roman walked a few miles away from camp before encountering a bear. Curious about the creature he walked a bit too close for comfort, making the bear uneasy and frightened. USing his sharp claws the bear attacked Roman, leaving 3 scars over his left eye. Roman yelped in pain, chasing the bear off before running back to camp and hiding under his blanket.

A few minutes went by before Ginger came home with a few snow bunnies for dinner, starting a fire and roasting them. She noticed the scars on Roman's face and took out her emergancy aid kit, tending to the fresh wound with a sanitized swab. She cleaned it free of germs and made sure to get him a vaccine for an infection when they came back home. Roman is currently doing great, the scar on his face just a memory.

Personality: Very friendly and wants to do what's right, but has a strong mind and is very strong willed. She wants to help if there is a problem, and is very crafty and smart. She has no ego, and dislikes dogs who do. She believes all dogs and wolves are equal. She wishes her older brother Mineshaft wasn't so protective of her.

Likes: Her parents, her siblings, running, snow, adventures, wolves, and all nice dogs, especially her friends Eclipse, Eli, Ramon, Ian, and Kelsey.

Hates: Mean people and dogs like Pascal, being told to stay home and not have adventures or help with a mission.

Fears: Not much.

Wants: To be able to help everyone and use her bravery for good.

History: Exile was born to a pet dog and a race dog. Her older brother Cavern was killed, so her other older brother, Mineshaft, is very protective of her at all times. She is friends with a wolf named Eclipse, a dog named Eli, his parents Ian and Kelsey, and a dog named Ramon. A egotistical dog named Pascal taunts her and her friends, but they always just turn and leave him to shout after them.

Ramon soon learned that he was terminally ill, but learned that there was a cure far away at a wolf pack across the mountains. He convinced his friend Eli and Eli's parents to come with him and help the weak dog get the cure. Exile wanted to go, but her protective older brother wouldn't let her because it was to dangerous to go over the mountains to a wolf pack.

After an argument, Exile left crying and later snuck after Ramon, Eli, and the others, soon joining them on their quest. She and the others helped the weak Ramon cross the mountains, and they soon reached the wolf pack. After they explained Ramon's illness, the lead wolf went to go receive the cure and give it to Ramon. It was then that Exile met Eclipse.

Exile saw a sad wolf sitting away from the others and went to talk to her. The wolf, Eclipse, had no friends and didn't know her family, so she was very lonely. Exile became her friend, and after Ramon was cured and his life was saved, Exile helped Eclipse gain popularity in the pack, and soon everyone was being nice to her. Exile promised to someday come back and visit one day before leaving.

After they all returned, Exile's brother Mineshaft was angry Exile snuck away, but was glad she was okay. Soon after, she joined the blue team of the Iditarod along with the now healthy Ramon and Eli, along with Exile's brother, Mineshaft. Exile soon became friends with Roman, Steele's son on the green team, and soon Exile and her friends began to talk to him, and he became a part of their social group.

Appearance: I will send a pic soon, but her appearance is sort of darkish with a lot of black, gray, and white, and has icy blue eyes.

I hope I get to join! By the way, I won't be making any of the other characters, at least not yet.

Personality: Chandi has to be strong and willful, rising up against the poor spirits towards her. She isn't the biggest or the strongest, but she is a leader and smart. She relies on her speed, which she is confident in. However she still has a lot of learning in being a leader. She is not aggressive towards others, but can be too competitive.

Likes: Running, her musher, rabbit, being brushed

Hates: when her team can't keep up, trains, fish

Fears: closed spaces like cages, death, fire

Wants: to win races, to be the mother of great racers, to face her fear of fish, meet a wolf

History: She was born to two pet dogs, so no one really expected anything of the litter, however Chandi hit the genetic jack pot, excluding strength. A young male musher in town quickly noticed the speed present in her, even in pup hood she was twice as fast as her siblings. The boy adopted her and matched her with his team. During a freak accident, Chandi was almost crushed in her cage while riding on a train she was on to move from Canada to Alaska, causing her to fear small spaces. Her crate was tipped over and this caused other crates to fall on it. Luckily she was able to slip free through a cracked board before the whole cage caved in under the weight. Her musher, Richard London, never intended to use her as a lead, but she tangled lines in her desperate sprints on runs. Eventually he concluded to use her as lead, but is still training her to not drag her team too harshly. On one of the races she slept too close to a fire and a hot ember feel and scorched her tail on fire. Since then it has healed and her new fur covers the old scars. She and Richard are now part of Red team. Other members are in construction.

Personality: Strong, wily, independent, rash, loud, boasting, but very loyal to her team. She doesn't really trust Ginger all too much, (see history) but she likes her.

Likes: Being in charge, swimming, racing, her team, winning, and boasting.

Hates: Being made fun of for having mixed blood, opposing teams being ahead of her, cats, being cold

Fears: She is terrified of heights, and tries to avoid them at all costs. She is afraid of being forgotten, and abandoned, and of never finding her place in the world.

Wants: She strives to be the best, and then better. She desperately wants to have an owner that will keep her for the rest of her life, and friends that will stay forever.

History: She was born in her mother's home and raised there for a few weeks, as a single child, then put up for sale at a month old. It was difficult to sell her, but after almost a month, she found her home with an elderly couple. The couple had a young Jack Russel Terrier, and and old Basset Hound, too old to entertain the Jack Russel. That had been the reason they had adopted Lailu; for the Terrier. The five of them lived pleasantly for about a year and a half, before the couple disappeared, having died in a car crash. Angry with them for leaving the three of them alone, she fled, to show them how well she could survive on her own. It became evident that she was wrong quickly, and soon began searching for another person to own her. She soon found Ginger, and slowly eased her way into the household. She was quickly adopted and became a sled dog for Ginger, though she uneasily waits to be abandoned once more.

Appearance: Greyhound build, with broader shoulders, more muscle, shorter legs, and a much thicker coat. She is a reddish-brown color on the top, with markings that reach just below her elbows and knees. Below that is dark grey, with white toes. She also has a strip of white on her face, from her nose up to her eyebrows, then down her cheeks and neck, ending near her left shoulder. Her eyes are a sharp, icy blue.
