Anyone remember this show that used to be on Cartoon Network a couple years ago? It's about a Samurai warrior who gets thrown into a portal in time and is trying to find a way back home to his own time so he can defeat the evil shape shifting wizard Aku. The show had a lot of good action scenes and was quite humorous at sometimes. Not to mention the artwork seemed pretty original. I remember this show when it was brand new and I was finishing up middle school. Then somewhere in high school, the show was canceled. Does anyone know if they actually completed the story to Samurai Jack?

I brought up the topic because I noticed it on the Boomerang channel the other day. The latest episode I can remember is the one where Jack has to fight the guardian to access the portal but loses though the guardian spares his life because of a future vision he sees of jack in the portal. I'm pretty sure that all 4 seasons are out on dvd though.

I remember watching that show. It used be hot back in the days. I think it still runs on Boomerang, but I don't know the time.

But, the last I checked, there's been talk of a Samurai Jack movie. Hopefully, that will give the show the closure it needs.

Where did you hear about this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samurai_Jack (it's at the bottom of the wall of text at the top of the page) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1058779/ (you'll need an Imdb PRO account for this one. According to the page, it's slated for a 2011 release) If/When they begin work, my question is who will they get to voice Aku? The guy who voiced him (Mako) died a few years ago and did a phenomenal job with Aku; whoever gets hired has some big shoes to fill.

Samurai Jack was a really awesome show! XD They did run it again on cartoon network for some time, but then they removed it again... I didn't know it played on Boomerang, so I guess I'd better check it out. But I do remember one episode where there were some little kids and one was playing Samurai Jack. Then Aku tried to tell them a story, but then the kids told a story instead. ^^ I love the boy's immitation!!! XD
Anyway, I do hope that they bring it back. >< The only samurai action goodness that I can get around here is Samurai 7...

I thought it was funny how they did a parody of The Shining mixed with the 3 little pigs. "I'll huff...and I'll puff...AND I'M COMING IN!!!" "Here's Jackie!"

Samurai Jack is great, best episode was the one with the Scot
"Ack! Ye treeryin teh get a look up mah kilt?" or something said to that effect, havent seen Samurai jack in yrs but it was a great show. Only post 90's cartoon show that used any real cool action fights along with moving storylines, was a good idea replacing enemies with robots so blood and guts were essentially just wires and gears ;P
