Her name comes from the 1992 musical/drama,of the same name,which stars Whoopi Goldberg(Guinan,from Star Trek:TNG),Leleti Khumalo,Miriam Makeba,John Kani,and Mbongeni Ngema,the full title of the movie is,Sarafina!The Sound of Freedom.

Hmm, I too wish that Sarabi and Sarafina had gotten more screen time in TLK, but as Tink said, we can make the rest up and it's fun to do so. If they had gotten more screen time, then we wouldn't really be able to write fanfics about what we think happened to them while all the attention was brought to Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Zazu, Raffiki, the hyenas, Scar, Timon and Pumbaa. But, I do sometimes wish they had been given a little more spotlight.

Another thing. You don't see Sarafina or Sarabi in TLK 2, which kinda disappoints me because there are many ways the animators could have brought them into the movie. Maybe they could have at least made a Lion King movie that explains what happened in their childhood. Still, if they had gotten more than enough attention, that could cause a few little problems.

Well, I've had my say in this topic. :D
