The minute Simba is born, he becomes the heir to Pride Rock and will inherit the kingdom.

Simba tells Scar that he's going to get the entire kingdom. However, Scar was NOT the person to tell that to but you can't blame Simba for being excited.

Scar purposely lets it slip about the elephant graveyard. Somehow, he's leading Simba into a trap without the young cub even realizing it.

Jealous, Scar conspires with three hyenas to eliminate his brother and nephew to take the throne for himself. As if to say," If you're not going to give me the kingdom, I'll just take it from you."

He kills Mufasa and makes it look like it's Simba's fault and Simba is banished from the Pridelands forever. Or so it seems.

Towards the end of the movie, Scar mistakenly lays the blame on the hyenas to make it look like it was their fault. You know? Scar forever draws up excuses to get himself off the hook.

At first I thought this was a case of someone out to steal the family fortune but I was wrong. It is merely a form of greed.

Isn't that what villains are meant to do?

Scar wanted the throne to himself, and when he realized that it couldn't be his, he took matters into his own hands.
Clearly he was selfish and didn't care about anybody but himself.

... what's the point of this topic, though?
We already knew all of this.
