That man says it all! Read this article, it's quite interesting and true (I also FULLY agree with the man in the comments which says TaleSpin was much better than Rescue Rangers for being subtle and well crafted stories, and to this day I'm still very surprised so few people realize that!) http://prawnandquartered.wordpress.com/ ... /#commentsBlended Families (Stormy Weather) Working Parents (Mommy for a Day) High gas prices/OPEC (For a Fuel Dollars More) Racism (Last Horizons) The Cold War/nuclear weapons (Flying Dupes) Sexism (Feminine Air) Elitism/The 1 Percenters (A Touch of Glass, Balooest of the Blue Bloods) Child Labor (Flight School Confidential) Compulsive Gambling (Double or Nothing) Labor Unions (Citizen Khan)

Good article, but does anyone else think he got the quote at the top of the page wrong? I know the captions say "ugly bear", but I hear "beyond repair".

I can't really comment on these until I look over the episodes, but I remember something about Kit as a child soldier. And let's face it, the fact that something is depicted is, within reason, not necessarily a fault; how it's portrayed is key too. Take racism for instance: you show me a story about the Underground Railroad that doesn't involve racism (and slavery to boot) and I'll show you one that misses the whole reason the UR was there in the first place. For that matter, most stories about WWII entail racism; it was in many ways the cornerstone of Hitler's whole idea, and thus central to his evil. To try to remove racism from those settings is to destroy a proper understanding of them almost completely.
Come to think of it, a lot of charges of bias these days - racism, sexism, etc. - strike me as being founded in the very sins they purport to attack. In other words, minorities are virtually immune to having such charges leveled at them, and they can be taken seriously any time they accuse someone of those things whether the purportedly racist/sexist views or remarks have anything to do with race or gender. Of course the odds are slim of this being taken seriously from me, being that I'm a white male, which ironically proves my point.
Okay, long-winded rhetoric over with, my point is that the words "racism" and "sexism" are very much overused these days, as are a number of others, and nine times out of ten people seem to completely overlook context on these things. Take my thoughts with all the salt you like, since I don't have any clear grasp of the episodes in question, but that's where I'm coming from.

Thanks Gregory! I don't really have time to reply, but I've read it. I really like what that guy said : Quote: TaleSpin rocks! And yes it was so much more intelligent than most shows at the time or since (Rescue Rangers was okay but was a bit too cookie cutter and shoehorned a lot of the issues you mentioned above with none of the subtlety that TaleSpin managed.) There really is nothing for kids younger than tweens now that compares. Yeah, exactly!!! Actually, I've never seen any other show than TaleSpin to be more appropriate to the whole family, while keeping the stories "mature" (I don't like that term) enough to keep the adults watching. Most shows/films which attempt to do that only add gross jokes or references, but don't focus on important matters like TaleSpin did. So how come there aren't more fans?! Honestly, I'll never understand... You know what's AMAZING? Everytime someone says "I don't like TaleSpin" or "That show was boring", there is NEVER any actual argument, just a basic statement without any depth, critic or anything. As if these people didn't actually WATCH the show. (and I think most of them actually didn't) Which, in the end, only justify that this show was indeed one of the best ever created, just underrated for reasons nobody knows and probably never will, but had the potential to become one of the biggest/most popular shows ever. If only *some people* had pushed it more, the way they're doing for shows like Phineas & Ferb which clearly doesn't deserve it half as much...

The problem is, Talespin was less promoted than other Disney Afternoon shows, for example, Darkwing Duck, or newer cartoons from other studios like Atomic Betty, Redwall or Loonatics Unleashed. The irony of life... :/ Edit: I know that the most popular Disney Afternoon cartoon in Poland is still Gummibears... :/

I think that everyone understands that on such sites they are not looking for love for life. This is just for fun. If you are busy or you have many complexes and you are afraid to chat with girls then adult dating sites are ideal for you. And if you still have a lot of wild desires about which you can’t tell anyone, then on the review site HookupMasters you will find for yourself the best source of pleasure, BDSM, fetish and the like will not leave you indifferent.

Lost Horizons was banned for far Asian racism though banning that episode is far more racist. It makes it sound racism doesn’t exist and Far Asian cultures don’t. There should be more episodes dealing such cultures in my opinion. I find it weird that to say it is anti Asian when Baloo is an Asia bear from India though India and China or Japan aren’t the same cultural.

Thanks for the info. Sex is a very important, but at the same time, a very vain topic for discussion in our society. for example, lately I have been spending more and more time on adult dating sites where I can meet a girl with whom I will spend only one night. This is convenient in some cases. But you have to be careful and read reviews on certain sites. For example, here https://hookupmasters.com/adult-dating-sites/fuckswipe-review/ you can read information and swipe hookup review. FuckSwipe is one of the most famous adult dating sites you can trust. There is an online chat for instant messaging, viewing and downloading images, a search filter. FuckSwipe has a large number of verified profiles numbering over 2 million. I strongly advise you to pay attention.
