It took me a long time, but I finally got an e-mail from a company called Aaron Book Publishing the other night. They want to see my story!

I'll remain exclusive about the exact plot of my book (the first of a series), but it involves dragons, it will contain a number of religious themes, overt and covert, and it is designed to appeal to all age groups in the tradition of greats such as the inestimable C.S. Lewis. So, in short, it should be greatly enjoyed by anyone who likes what I've written here and elsewhere.

I can't say for sure what course this will take or how long it will be to publication, but this topic will be for updates on the project, and any comments people may have. Happy reading.

That's awesome, DT! I'm so excited for you! Your book sounds very interesting as well, and I'm sure it will get some avid readers! When it's published, you'll tell us what it's called so we can go buy it, right?

Thanks for your interest, everyone. I haven't settled on a title, and I've been told that the publishers usually like to decide that part themselves. But as soon as there's a verdict on that, or anything else, I'll post it here.

Thanks! I'll keep you posted. Right now there's some limbo - its a self-publishing gig, so I'll need to earn money for the initial investment. And I left the jump drive in New York by mistake, so I'll have to get that next week.

Yep. But, on the advice of my uncle (who has done some research on publishing), I'm going to do some background research on the company just t be sure.

Any news on whether it's published? it sounds interesting so I'd really like to read it.

There may be some delay. Although I've had limited time to look into the matter, I haven't found many resources on this particular company that don't look as though they were all written by one person (according to my uncle, that's a caution sign). So I may have to drop this particular opportunity.

But hey, it's better to take a longer time looking for the right publisher, than to sell your work to the wrong company. Only the best for your book! Which seems like it's already a hit here on AS when it's not even published yet!

About Aaron's Book Co., all I know is that it's a self-publishing site, and while it doesn't offer many genres to submit, there's good stuff out there published by them. Sorry if that doesn't help much....

That last part is plenty to start with. What kind of books do they have out?
