This is my first post because this conversation drew my eye lol.

Anyway...i've found a little bit of inconsistencies with some of the arguments made by the website that you gave a link to.

1. "Scar does`nt kill Nala when he takes over the throne after killing Mufasa. He does`nt follow the custom. In a real life lion-pride, a male that wants to take over a pride kills all the cubs to make sure that all cubs born from that time on are his own." ---- yet mufasa does not kill nala even though she is not his cub. Even though one could argue that Mufasa has a kind heart, there can't be a kind of double standard here if one is going to use that argument. And also note that this isn't really a "real-life lion pride" this is a disney movie.

2. Also from the SAME person that gave this argument:
"But I don`t think Sarafina could have mated with Mufasa, because he is the mate of her best friend!" --- In a "real-life lion pride" this would have been considered NORMAL, so in other words, this certain person is using different points of view to fit his/her arguement.

3. As for the part of simba and nala being cousins, it's entirely possible that Mufasa had a SISTER that had nala, even though this is considered incest, it's still a possibility that most people have overlooked i think.

4. Sarafina coming from another pride and whose mate died early --- this is also another possibility, but can only be open to speculation until more information is provided. (the link provided, however, states that
"The directors of The Lion King: Rob Minkoff and Roger Allers, have personally acknowledged that Nala`s father is either Scar or Mufasa.")

Of course, a person holds his/her opinions about this matter. I'm just pointing out a little bit of inconsistencies in the argument that i first saw when you scroll down the page that was provided by the link.

I'm not talking about the darn website, I'm talking about where he mentions that there is a book. I repeat, I DO NOT care about what else this website says, I'm just pointing out that he said that there is a book. And I'm curious about it. Anyone even get what I'm saying?

6 adventures didn't say that Simba and Nala were cousins. So I repeat, again, I REPEAT, he said that he read a book that said that they were cousins. Still with me?

ok sorry >.> I don't know the contents of the Six Adventures just offering a suggestion. Then the other possibility would be the story about Simba's great grandfather, but I don't see how that relates. Anyway...why don't you ask that person?

[EDIT] To save you the trouble Zeldaholic: Quote from one of the theories concerning Nala's father; "In the book "The Lion King," I read that Simba and Nala are cousins.", I've looked up The Lion King on Barnes and Noble and came up with this http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780736420952&itm=1

Is this the book? It probably is if this is the supposed title of the book. I'll try and drop by Barnes and Noble to see if I can find a copy.

My 2 cents:

Nala and Sarafina were moved over to the pride because, like in some cultures, a bride is picked for a son/vice versa.

That's what I think is going on here in the movie, because Zazu said that they were going to be married. Simba and Nala reacted like the way they did because maybe they were not informed, or both parents of the cubs wanted the love relationship to grow on it's own instead of forced...
