OOC: I'm going to wait for Kodi Girl's reply before I post again. However, this needed to be brought to attention for everyone who's been asking to join lately. We haven't been ignoring you, and we're sorry if you thought we were. However, since the rp is so long and has progressed this far, Balto678 and I have been talking about plans for the plot. With Kodi Girl's consent, we were thinking of starting a new topic with a more updated version of the plot so that new rpers won't have to go back and read through the immense amount of pages that we've already contributed. If Kodi Girl agrees to this, then you all can try out for characters in that topic, and just so we stay organized, please wait to ask for characters then.
We're heading toward a crux in the rp where we'll have a nice cliffhanger to start off in the new topic. And, so far the way we've planned it out, it should only take a few days to get to this, so please remain patient. So, keep watching this topic and in a week at most we'll post a link to the new topic (which will probably have a similar name) and then you guys can join there and we'll get started again! Thank you guys so much for displaying your interest and we hope to rp with the rest of you soon!

OOC: I consent! ^^ This is, on record, my longest RP on BS. It would be a shame to leave it hanging. My post is going to be short, sorry, I'm not even allowed online at home right now.
Jenna blinked, concerned for her son. She was about to say something when Balto pulled her to the side. "I..." she stuttered softly, blinking rapidly "Just, just talk to him, Balto...He really may need his dad right now."
Saba blinked softly as Slyth's nose touched hers. She chuckled. "Hello, Slyth." she said, quickly pulling her nose away from his. "Is...something wrong?" she asked, glancing a Balto and Jenna. "Uh...Mom, maybe we should leave Papa and Slyth alone to talk."
Jenna nodded quickly, giving Balto a stern look that said Talk to him, see what's bothering him so much. "C'mon, Saba, we'll go somewhere else and have our own little chat." Jenna nuzzled her son softly, before going out of the room, Saba in tow.

OOC: Alright, I'm either going to only have maybe two posts left if I play this right, before my part of the cliffhanger comes.
"Haha, thanks, I think. He's a good guy, very kind." Her head seemed to begin to buzz as thoughts of him filled her head again. There was much more she could have picked to say about him, but she chose not to. It'd be better for Dis just to meet him and decide for herself what she thought. "Thanks, again. He lives this way," and she turned her head in the direction of Jenna's house.
She waited patiently and when Dis was ready, they both set off down the lane towards the house. The walk wouldn't take long, considering Nome was an awfully small town and both females knew almost every nook and cranny of it by heart. Blitz stopped when she came to Slyth's house and nosed the front porch, catching a strong whiff of him. He was here, and had gone in not long ago at all. But should she enter, or simply wait outside? The butterflies had returned to her stomach and as a result she started to fidget with her paws.
But suddenly her ears shot up as she heard movement toward the little doggy door and with a quick nod to the side of the building, she bolted out of sight and around the corner, hoping Dis would catch her meaning. She had no idea why she'd been so flustered, but soon enough she'd hear Slyth's voice, though it was unclear. She'd hang around though, and when Balto and Slyth both exited to have their talk, she'd still be there, listening curiously and waiting until Balto was gone.

(Okay, managed to get some time online finally ) As Saba padded away with their mother, Slyth found it hard to take his eyes off her. They followed her until she and Jenna walked out of sight. Only then did he manage to tear his eyes off her. But even with her not in his sight, he could still enjoy her scent she'd left behind. Allowing himself to take one good whiff of the smell, he continued outside to wait for his dad. He wasn't sure where he wanted to meet him, but he figured the porch was as good a spot as any.
He only got a minute to gather himself and get over the nervousness he felt in his stomach before he heard his dad coming. Balto nodded his head in recognition of Jenna's words and followed behind his son. There was deffinatly something going on here. There was a look in his eyes that he'd never seen there before. Whatever Slyth needed to talk to him about, it was serious. As soon as he stepped outside and breathed in the air his highly acute sense of smell was able to discern the scents of several dogs that had been by recently. This first scent that caught his attention was not Jenna's or Slyth's, but a certain other female that he'd met on only one occasion. That dog. . . Blitz. The one currently with his son had been by here. But when? Maybe she had come by at some point looking for Slyth? Or she might acctually have something to do with this problem his son had come to him for help. Deciding it was better suited for another time, he followed the scent left by his son. Which turned out to be not neccesary because he had seated himself on the porch. "Slyth" He said, padding over to him and sitting down beside him "What is it?" Looking at him, he could see that same look in his eyes and a determined look on his face. Taking a deep breath, Slyth prepared himself to tell his dad something he hadn't intended to ever let pass his lips. "Let me explain first" he started. "You see, i've got a problem here. It's nothing i did, at least i don't think so. I've just been really confused the last few days and I think the only way i'll be able to make sense of some of the things going on is if i get some advise. Some help. Which is why i've come to you." He said all this slowly, choosing his words carefully. He was talking to his dad about a relationship he had with his own sister. Not exactly the kind of thing you want your parents to know. He didn't want to slip up and say the wrong thing. He could tell he was having trouble enough just getting it out, so Balto tried to make it a little easier on him by looking away. For some reason, eye contact just made other people more insecure. He also did his best to heed his son's request to let him explain first. But when he paused, his tongue slipped. "Has this going something to do with that dog we saw you with earlier? Blitz?" as soon as he said it, he hoped it would help Slyth spit it out. In these types of situations, it was easy to fall into a loop where you could never get to your point. Slyth's words faltered as his dad's deep voice interrupted. This distraction caused Slyth to fumble with his words for a second before he stopped and looked over at his dad. Regathering his thoughts, a silence fell between them briefly.
"Yes. . . and no. It's complicated. And really confusing for me. I really really like Blitz. She makes me feel. . . strange. I can't really describe it, but i really like it. Everytime im around her, i get this feeling."Again, Balto's words interrupted Slyth. But this time, they were better chosen words. "What you're feeling is love. It's one of the best things you'll experience in your life." Biting his lip, Slyth paused before continuing. "Er, yea. That's an easier way of putting it, i guess. But, like i said, it's complicated. As much as I like her, i'm not so sure how she feels about me anymore.""Have you tried talking to her?" Balto suggested, able to understand where Slyth was coming from. "Yea" Slyh replied, nodding his head slowly. "But she keeps running off everytime i see her.""Ah" Balto frowned. "Here's the other thing though." Slyth went on "There's another girl that i like. This is where it gets really confusing to me. I feel the same way about her as Blitz. She makes me feel the same way when i'm around her. But lately it seems like she's been avoiding me too." He shook his head and closed his eyes as he said this.Balto had to think for a minute before he could say anything to that. It was unexpected. Right out of left field. But, his pride as a father wouldn't allow him to just sit there in silence. "I can see where your confusion would be coming from." Looking over his son, the evidence of stress was there. He was getting really thin and he looked tired. Apparently, this was the source of alot of reasons why he had been acting so strangely lately. With as unkept as his coat was, Balto could only assume that there were a few sleepless nights spent thinking about this. "Slyth, i'm not going to pretend to be an expert on this whole love business. It's tricky. I just barely got your mother. But i'll help you in what ways i can. Unfortunatley, the only way i know how to help you in this is in advise." Slyth opened his eyes to look as his father once he said this. He was eager for any kind of advise to help him. Right now he was just blundering through everything. Somehow though, he'd managed to keep himself from going crazy. Though only just barely. He looked terrible. Some food and sleep would deffinatley do him some good. He had trouble sleeping these days though. Every time he layed his head down and closed his eyes, his mind filled with visions of Blitz and Saba. Even his dreams were taken over by those two. Balto stood up and turned to face Slyth before he said anything. After clearing his throat, he set a paw on Slyth's shoulder and began. "The only way you'll know who to choose to spend your life with, is by listening to your heart. No one else can tell you who to love or who to have your first mate with. . ." "Dad!" Slyth gasped. His eyes widened slightly in shock. He'd honestly never thought of either of them like that. There may have been that one time with Blitz when they were alone, but he'd never acctually thought about it. If he was going to spend the rest of his life with one of them and start a family then, yea, it had to come up at some point. He had never addressed it though. It was just something in the back of his mind he didn't feel ready to think about.Balto couldn't supress a light laugh. "relax Slyth. Let me finish. All i'm saying is that you can get advise from all the dogs in Alaska who claim to be experts on love, but at the end of the day you'll be in the same spot you are now." Slyth frowned at his dad. His heart was still beating a little fast from that last bit, but he ignored it. "But i don't even know what i'm doing dad. I'm going to go crazy if i don't do something about this. I can't keep living day in and day out not knowing who to spend my life with." All this spilled out of his muzzle in a stern tone. His voiced raised a bit in his frustration. Slyth stopped himself there for a minute to let himself calm down. "Right now" he resumed, his voice much calmer, "i've got two girls who have won a place in my heart. The problem is, i don't know how to choose." The next thing Balto said surprised even himself. "Well," He breathed, taking his paw away from Slyth and sitting back down. "Who says you have to choose." Silence met these words. Neither had anything to say to it. But Balto and Slyth had different reasons for their speechlessness. Slyth was just confused and didn't understand what his dad's words ment. But it was coming togethar clearly in Balto's head. "What? Of 'couse i have to choose. I can be with them both for the rest of my life." Slyth's moaned, raising a paw to his head. His head was starting to hurt him."What I mean son, is maybe you're putting too much importance on finding out who should be your mate instead of really enjoying your time with them. You're young, can you even be sure that Blitz or this other dog is who you're ment to be with? Why don't you just go find them and spend some time with them. Maybe you'll find that the answer will find you sooner than you can find it." For a moment Slyth remained silent. He didn't move either. He closed his eyes and pointed his nose parallel to the ground and just sat there for thinking hard. Then, after a minute of this after Balto's words ceased, he looked back up at Balto. His eyes were brimming. "I think i wanna be alone for little while now." He choked out as he stood then, resting his head beneath his fathers chin, he breathed out a thank you.
With that, he stepped down from the porch and slowly made his way down the street. He was too distracted by his own thoughts to notice that he passed Blitz and Dis. Even though he may have walked into clear view of them, his mind was too busy to think of looking around. He had decided to go to the only place in town where he knew he could be alone. The old boat wreak outside of town.
Ten minutes later, that's where he found himself. He hadn't seated himself anywhere with a nice view of the beach beneath the boat or the small town that was Nome on the horizon. He had been hit with some strong words from his dad. Granted he had been looking for help and was throughly grateful to have finally found some in his dad. But he had to take in it. For some reason, his body's reaction to this was to cry. Which was exactly why he has layed himself down in the darkness of the cargo hold. He had known his brother Kodi to hide out in here when he wanted to be alone. As far as he knew, no one had ever found him.
However, Slyth didn't really care about being alone or being found, he just wanted to get this whole sobbing thing out of his system first. Afterwords, he didn't care if Blitz or Saba came looking for him. It was doubful that either one would since the both were apparently avoiding him. But just then, he found that he wouldn't have minded their company.Bear with me here. This last part may seem a bit rushed but this post was getting long enough and i'm getting really tired. It's to the point where i'm having trouble keeping my eyes open long enough to type much.

After that startling conversation, Blitz felt more than a little speechless. She hadn't really realized that she'd been avoiding Slyth at all, but now looking back on all of the time she'd recently spent with him, she had indeed been running out a lot. But she hadn't really been trying to. Her head hung as she thought about that. But just a little bit later, the talking had ceased and Slyth had gone out in the direction of the beach. Why would he be heading there? She waited until she heard the definitive flap of the doggie door, then turned to Dis and angled her head in the direction of the beach.
"Let's follow." But as soon as the two of them got out onto the street, the dog was out of sight. Blitz sniffed deeply and found his scent, following it at an easy pace. Apparently Slyth had wanted to be alone for a little, so she delayed in getting there to give him some time. But gradually she and Dis would make it there, probably several minutes after his face had dried and any evidence of the tears were gone. Blitz hesitated, noticing how strong his scent was around the boat, then suddenly the solitude brought power back to her limbs. She padded calmly over to the spot where his scent was coming in the strongest whiffs and stopped, peering into the darkness, but seeing nothing at first due to the bright sunlight of the day.
"Slyth, are you in there?" Her tone was nervous still, but also inquisitive and worried. "I'm sorry that I've been avoiding you lately. I just had a lot to think about too. Look, it's not that I'm worried about you and Saba, necessarily. I'm just...it bothers me that we've kept this a secret from her too. She cares for both of us, of course you more than me. But she's my friend, and I don't want to hurt her." She heaved a sigh before continuing. "I guess I've just been feeling at odds with this whole situation. But, I know you have been too. I really do care for you, but I know how much she cares for you as well. I just don't know who you care for more, or even if I'll be able to do the right thing when the time comes, whoever you choose. I don't even know what the right thing to do in that situation would be."

A wind blew past her, and Eleriss' ears twitched as she raised her muzzle to the sky and took a deep sniff of the air before glancing toward the boat. "Hmm? What are they doing there?" she whispered to herself. She noticed a moving figure by the ground beside it. Punting one last rock into the water, she walked calmly toward the scene, both curious and a little worried. Worried that she could be interrupting something she really had no business with - and this made her stop about halfway there.
She closed her eyes to focus on her hearing - perhaps she could catch a glimpse of the noises there. She could hear the other fae' speak, but couldn't make out the words - still out of range.
Eleriss shook her head, sighing.
Slyth, Saba - even Blitz reminded her of her time around their age - lovestruck and all that jazz. She could remember.
Eleriss pounced on a small rabbit and finished it off as quickly as possible. She had just become familiar with the skills required to hunt, and she had to practice. Her mother had told her to only kill what she could eat and nothing more. 'Respect the nature and it shall respect you', she had said. The wolf cub followed her mother's words - she only killed what she could eat. She had gotten a certain knack of playing with the food, though. This knack had certainly made itself known to the rodents in the area (particularly through mass genocide a few weeks back). This day, though, everything did not go as planned. As she was chewing happily on her rabbit prize, a gray wolf stepped out from behind a tree. It was also a cub, around her age. Eleriss jumped and took a few steps backwards, lowering her ears in defiance - although she was unfamiliar with snarling as that time would have it, allthewhile the newcomer just offered her a carefree glance and continued to move closer to her. She left her prize and backed off. "I win?" the stranger suddenly said and took a quick bite of the rabbit once he had gotten close enough. It was a male. But the male had done a mistake - the moment he'd swallowed his bite, she was over him, having toppled him on his back, staring him in the eye. She didn't snarl - she knew not how to. "That's mine!" she called out with a growl.
Although she did not remember the details after that, she did remember spending her first year alone looking for that male again. And when she found him, he already had a mate. She did everything to get his attention and steal him away - but unlike the story that could be for the three turtledoves, she never got him.
She sighed and chose to remain in sight, but out of hearing range.

Jenna sighed, looking at Saba as they left Balto and Slyth to talk. She sat down, sighing. She wasn't good at this, heaven knows she tried though. Summing up everything she wanted to say, Jenna turned to her daughter. "Saba, sweetie, do you know what's wrong with Slyth? You're both so close, I was wondering if he said anything to you."
Saba gulped lightly as the question was asked, eyes shutting. Yeah, Mom, I know; my brother and I are in love but he has feelings for Blitz as well and he's apparently very flustered which is why I don't see him like I used to. Yeah, the truth....wasn't going to work. With a deep breth Saba plain out lied "No, Mom, I don't know, he seems to keep to himself alot. I wish he'd talk to me..." she sighed lightly.
Jenna nodded, going over and nuzzling Saba comfortingly. "I know sweetie." she said.

Even though he was alone, this crying he was doing made him feel a bit pathetic. He tried to stop the tears from flowing but they kept coming. Fortunatley, he wasn't crying so hard that he started wailing or getting loud. There was just a constant flow of tears and a sniffle every now and then.
It only took a few minutes to get it out of his system. But not long after it had, he heard Blitz's voice. Surprised by how suddenly she had showed up, he rose to his paws quickly. As he did, his head banged forcefully against the wooden stud that you had to be weary of when coming in and out. Growling back the pain, he tried to avoid being seen just yet. He was still a bit self-consious about his recent sobfest and wanted to be sure his face was dry before letting Blitz see him. But dogs could see in the dark and he wasn't sure if a half-wolf would be able to see any better or not. Which is why he turned his back to the opening he'd used to get in here. "Blitz?" he asked in a cracky voice that was nothing like his own. "How'd you find me?" It was a dumb question that he already knew the answer to. She'd obviously tracked his scent here. But what did she want? It must've been important if she'd been looking for him hard enough track him here. It was also odd to Slyth because of how much she'd been avoiding him here lately.
But, he wanted to keep her busy while he dried his face off. Most of it had already dried on its own, but some spots around his eyes were still damp. Only when he was sure he didn't look like he'd been crying did he turn back to the opening and step towards it.
As Slyth's face came into view, Dis had a moment of dawning recognition and couldn't help but burst out with "It's you!" Despite the growing tension between the two, Slyth and Blitz, Dis was unable to hide her surprise. She had just met this dog earlier. "Told you our paths would cross again someday. I must say though, i didn't think we would again on the same day."

OOC: Sorry, just no muse today Blitz nodded to Dis as the other female exclaimed in surprise at his identity. "Yep, that's him. Oh, you two have met?" That was peculiar, where had Slyth managed to meet Dis? But she shook her head at the thought because it didn't matter at the moment. "I saw you leave the house and followed you here. Just wanted to talk some things over, especially about this whole situation, and Saba, like I said before." She hung her head and sighed. "I just don't want to end up hurting her, but I don't want myself to hurt either."

Slyth blinked at the second dog that he knew, shocked at seeing her again so soon. He may have normally jumped and reacted similar to the way she did, but was already processing alot of things in his head. "Uh, Nothing?" He grinned. "You know Blitz? This really is a small world."
But after acknowledging that she was there, he had to return to Blitz. He hadn't had a proper conversation with her in several days now. So, seeing Blitz standing here now was just as surprising. "Look Blitz, there's no way we could figure this thing out on our own. So i got some help. I talked to my dad about this." Slyth said slowly.
He was pleased to finally be talking to Blitz again, but the subject of their conversation was kinda awkward with someone else listening in. Even if that person was a friend. "But, uh. . . " Slyth started, giving 'Nothing' a quick glance, "you wanna talk in private for a minute?" As he asked this question, he stepped to the side and pressed his body against the side of the entrance to his little hideout to give Blitz enough room to pass. "Watch your head though, there's a board here that's pretty solid."

Blitz glanced back at Dis for a moment when Slyth asked to talk to her alone. What did he really have to say to her that he couldn't say in front of Dis? But, then she remembered that she'd known Dis much longer than Slyth had, and of course he wouldn't have a good reason to trust her with their secrets. With a light shurg, she turned back and shimmied under the boat, ducking her head where Slyth had told her to.
Her eyes adjusted to the darkness rather quickly and she could finally see him better now that the sun wasn't shining directly into her eyes and they were both in the shadows. She could see that his eyes were still a little red and her heart jumped, guilt filling her. She hadn't wanted him to cry over this, though she had felt like doing the same several times. Her rump found the ground and she waited for him to talk, but when he didn't, she spoke. "So, that's mostly what's been on my mind. I just don't want us all to lose our friendships over this." She sighed. "But, I gather you've thought of something else I haven't."

Blitz's expression hardened as he mentioned that he'd gone to his dad for advice and she mentally did a *facepalm*. Why had Slyth bothered to involve his father in all of this? The one person they were trying to really keep the secret of the situation about from? Panic began to thrum through her and her heart began racing, ears began pulsating. Even now her body was preparing her to run. But then as he said he hadn't talked about Saba she internally sighed with relief. The last thing that any of them needed going around on the town gossip train was another rumor about the husky family, especially now that Balto had finally earned the great respect of his friends and neighbors. And Blitz certainly didn't need any new labels on her reputation either after that awful fight. But now everything seemed to be fine, so she mulled over the rest, including the advice that Balto had given his son.
It was so simple, Blitz was amazed herself that she hadn't even thought of it before. Just let it work itself out and let your heart choose. Now that Balto had said it, everything suddenly clicked into place and made sense. Her world, which had been crashing down around her, suddenly sprang back to life as if someone had taken a defibrillator to restart it. She blinked for a moment, just letting the calm rush over her and smiled as finally a sense of reassurance and certainty returned to her.
"You know, that really is a good idea. I'm a little shocked that one of us didn't think about it before, to tell you the truth. I guess it's probably because we've all just been a little too wrapped up in our own situation and agonizing over the details so much. At least I know I was. I'm not so sure about you and Saba." She quieted as another thought came to her mind. "I'm still worried about hurting her though. She's my friend. But I guess that will figure itself out as we go, and there's not much I can do to control it except try to maintain our friendship."
She sighed deeply before continuing once more with what would probably be the hardest part to say. "And, I think we should tell your folks that we're going to be separating for a while, so that we can figure things out. That way they don't get concerned. And also for Saba's sanity. I'm sure she can't stand Balto and Jenna thinking that we're together when the situation is so crazy. At least, I know I'd be a little jealous. So I'm sure she is too."
The corner of her mouth pulled into a small smile. Despite how hard it was to say it, she felt immensely relieved. But her lovely icy blue eyes darted out of distraction towards the hole leading to the outside and she chuckled. "We'd better get out of here soon. Dis might think we got lost, or worse." Her eyes lit up with the joke, the first one she'd felt good enough to really make in a long time. Then she angled her body, canting her head and waiting for both a response and to see if he was coming outside.

Slyth was relieved to see that Blitz agreed with his dad. He had thought it made sense too, but he kinda figured whatever he thought didn't matter if Blitz or Saba didn't agree with it. Maybe....
He felt a bid dissapointed when Blitz suggested they tell his parents that he and her were no longer togethar. He didn't know if it was the right choice, but he had liked to fantasize, just for a moment, that he and Blitz were mates. As awkward as it was whenever it was brought up, he did like the sound of it. 'Slyth and Blitz.....' He had to snap himself out of it before he started drooling. He found he was already grinning when he came back to reality. Not that he didn't have a reason to smile. He and Blitz had just solved something and agreed on it. If not for that, he was with Blitz. They were talking. After how long she'd avoided him he was glad for that alone.
But, when Blitz made her own little joke about what Dis would think of them being alone in the dark too long, his male ego wouldn't allow him to let it slide by without him throwing one back at her. "I dunno Blitz. I kinda like being alone in the dark with you...." He didn't move towards the exit as she did. He did just the opposite. He slid down to a laying position on his side as he said this. Almost inviting her to cuddle up with him.
Terrible, corny, and possibly harrasing. But half the fun of the joke is seeing how she would react. And with her stressed out state and scrambled mind, her reaction was sure to be very interesting....
