Aside from Dragon Tamer, Rotramel's fanfics are among the most-known on Balto Source. Now Sourcecast is pleased to announce that he has agreed to an interview! We need YOUR questions to be asked! Post in here now!

The exact date and time are yet to be determined, but it is happening.

How much time and effort do you spend in creating each of your fanfics?

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know that this is indeed going to happen, hopefully within the next two to three weeks. I'm really excited for this opportunity and I would like as much input from my readers as possible. So let's have it, please post any questions you have ever wanted to ask me. Thanks! ...and yes, I'm *still* working on "To Love a Stranger". I know it's coming up on a year in the works now, but there are various reasons for that. Just know I haven't forgotten or abandoned you.

- RTW

A couple of questions. I'm cheating, so sue me! Pick one, I asked a lot because I'm very curious about the writing process as a whole.

-Who is your favorite character to write for?

-What sorts of struggles do you have writing for a set of characters that already have defined personalities (referring to the main cast, not custom characters). What are the advantages and disadvantages of writing for prefabricated characters compared to those you devised yourself?

-Do you find yourself inspired by other forms of media to craft a story? If not, where do most of your inspirations come from?

-Two parter question = Part 1 "What's the best way to overcome writers block?" / Part 2 "Have you ever suffered from writer's block so badly that you couldn't write a thing for two years, and the moment you did start writing, you wound up trapping your wife in a state of limbo beneath a lake as a result of possession and manipulation?"

Sorry if that last question is a little vague (I'm serious about the writer's block, not really about the scenario).

Aaaand...unfortunately we've had to reschedule. The good news is, it's sooner! The interview will NOW take place on Wednesday, January 18, at 11:00 PM Central. It will still be live!

Will there be a written transcription or downloadable/youtube version of the interview?

Currently OCONUS (something I'm sure LCpl Rotramel can appreciate), so I'm not sure I'll be able to make the time to listen, but I'd really love to see it.

I know it might be improper to ask more questions, but it seems a waste to arrange a time for interviews and have only a couple of questions to ask and answer. That, and I love seeing the behind the scenes aspects of creation of stories and such.

-Why Balto? Not that I, or anyone else hopefully, is going to complain, but what is it about the lovable pooch's world that brings you back to it?

-Do you ever feel limited in scope because of the time and place the stories (specifically Balto's) occur?

-If YOU had to think about it, on which side of general style do your stories tend to err? Comic or Tragic?

An audio version will be the first thing available, as soon as a week after the interview. (Hopefully.) A transcript will be available eventually, but not any time soon.

Good news? You've just written off Europe. I know I stay up late but 5am GMT?

Yeah, sorry about that. But it'll be recorded. (With a GOOD recorder this time around.)

Could you aim for about 02:00 Central? I'll be able to listen to it on my way to school.
