I do believe they did make Spirit a father in the books.. ( correct me if im wrong), but do you think that if Spirit did have a father in the movies it would be more better or more worse? Or whats your opinion on the fact if they did have his father?

Yes, they did make Spirits father. In the series Spirit of the Cimarron: Esperanza's book talks about the black horse, Strider. This is Spirits father but it doesn't talk about what happened to him since it ends before Spirit is born and the herd is created. Honestly I don't think Strider should be included in the movie. It wouldn't be the same since most likely Strider would have kicked Spirit out at some point. Then again it would give the chance of Spirit and Rain creating their own herd instead. But I like the fact that they didn't include him, although I do want to know what happened to him.

...Did you even read the first post? That tells us who Spirit's father is but that's not what the topic is asking.

Yes, I know already how Strider and Esperanza came to be. I have read the books many times over the years. The question I am interested in was what happened after Spirit was born? That is what I am interested in. In the book and movie, there is no mention of Strider other than a brief sentence towards the beginning of the movie and book.
