** Important update! **

There is a new tag to use for hiding spoilers in a topic - I recommend you will all use it, as not using it, not knowing it's there, or forgetting to use it is not an excuse and will most definitely not benefit you in any way should you be caught spoiling.

The tags are:
Code: Select all

------------------------------
Time to update some of the Video Games rules regarding spoilers.

Here's a list.
    1. If your post/topic contains spoilers from a game, you are required to put some kind of warning (easy to understand) in the topic title, or in big text (biggest font size) on your post. It must be put before the spoiler itself, and it must be separated from the spoiler itself, with at least five lines.
    2. Your post will be deleted upon discovery if you have not given out any kind of warning that it contains spoilers! (exceptions will not apply)
    3. Repetitive spoiling without giving a warning will result in a ban (3 days).
    4. Lastly, if you are banned again for giving out spoilers with no warnings, the ban is doubled in length.

These new rules are here for one purpose; to keep people happy. Spoiler topics might turn into a flame war if people are not warned, and it's never fun to have a game spoiled.
Now, we don't want flame wars, and we don't want unhappy members.

Obey these rules. They are obligatory and they apply for any game, regardless of console, type, action, RPG, etc. etc.

A spoiler is when you give away what happens that you normally would find out by actually playing the game. An example would be telling what the final boss in Halo 3 is and how to beat it. It would be a spoiler to those who haven't played Halo 3 all the way through and want to do so.

Ok but does the spoiler rule count for really old video games? like ps1 games or old ps2 games or anything older then the games that are out for the latest video game platforms such as the Nintendo Wii, Xbox360 and Playstation3 oh and new pc games.

So is it for all or just the latest games? just want to be clear because the last thing I want is to start a flame war or go agenced the rules, if you mentioned it in the new rule sorry I must have missed it so im sorry if thats the case....

This should go for all books/movies. (Unless it already does.)

Well, it applies to absolutely all games, regardless of how old they are. There are still people out there who haven't played the games, but would love to.
