What if Steele was Balto's father? I mean they look kinda a like.
Let's look at comparisons between them.

Tails: Both big and scruffy looking
Body: They have a similar build, but steele looks more muscular than balto
Legs: Same with body. Both very long.
Paws: Both big
Ears: Very different. Balto ears are big, and Steele's are very small
Eyes: Different, but they are both pretty big
Nose: Both big

What do you think???

This is NOT an article I put it as an article and a mod deactivated because they said it belonged on the forums!!! :D

White wolf mother plus a black and white Husky father = Brown wolfdog?

This is HIGHLY unlikely. The reason for them looking similar is because they're both of Husky blood and anatomy. Jenna just looks different from them because the animators tried to give her a 'feminine' look.

Steele isn't Balto's father. End of story. Firstly, Steele is a Malamute, while Balto is a Husky x Wolf cross. Steele is around Balto's same age, so no again. Not to mention... why would Steele act like a jerk towards Balto if he was his "father"? I mean, within the fact that it's a kid's movie. And why would he be interested in the same female dog as his own "son"?

It's not highly unlikely; it's impossible. And to say 'if', just no... that'd be too strange for my taste...

Orly?
Tail: Steele - fluffy and curly; Balto - long and straight
Body: Steele - big, straight posture, muscular; Balto - light build, hunched most of the time.
Legs: Steele - muscular looking; Balto - normal, thin.
Paws: Steele - very small compared to his body; Balto - big
Ears: This is the only point you are right
Eyes: Steele - relatively small comapred to his head; Balto - normal
Nose: Steele - big; Balto - normal

Oh wait, maybe you don't even know how they look like?

Troll is completely spot on. There is no wayyy possible that Balto is Steele's son. Steele and Balto were relevantly around the same age, and both had interests in the same female. I think some people are highly getting mixed up with things like this- and getting mixed up big time.

Steele and Balto have really, completely different everything. Balto looks a lot like a wolf because of his heritage, Steele is a Malamute, and is very large compared to Balto and the other dogs. And, Steele wouldn't act like a jerk towards him, and wouldn't have the interest in the same female. And, He'd be OLDER than Balto. As I and others stated before, they were definitely around the same age. To be truthful, if Steele was a father to Balto, wouldn't he be sticking up for him instead of being a "jerk" towards Balto?

Rofl, I totally thought of that video when I read the title too.

Clearly by the other posts, it's evident that Steele being Balto's father is practically impossible. Nothing more I really need to add to it.

Hey,

Interesting topic, and even cooler character model sheets!

I voted for the "I don't think so..." option, because I don't think that Steele is Balto's father, although it's TECHNICALLY possible for a dog of Steele's age to have a pup who is Balto's age. I mean, Steele isn't THAT much older than Balto, is he, but he's an adult, so that he could TECHNICALLY have had a puppy who is just now (Well, "now," with regards to the 1925 setting of the movie, anyway) coming of age, couldn't he? I mean, it's never implied that Steele is some old guy! He's just an average, slightly older guy who wants to keep Jenna away from Balto.

Even though Steele COULD be Balto's father, I doubt that Steele IS Balto's father. If he WERE Balto's dad, what an "ICK!" type of situation THAT would be; Steele is a first-class JERK!

Oh, and once and for all, is Steele a Malamute, a Husky, or a Huskamute?

See Ya' Later,
Dixie Baby

Siberian Husky, Steele has blue eyes, Malamutes do not.

Steele could be either a Malamute or a Siberian Husky. Since the movie doesn't say which he is, no one is right and no one is wrong in that regard.

And Mighty, Malamutes DO have blue eyes.

Well, if Steele was to be Balto father, which he obviously isn't, and was a malamute, that would rule that out since Balto is part wolf and Husky.
