Seth tried to scream out in agony, but as if a reminder that he couldn't because his vocals closed on him, a big paw was shoved in his face. He winced as the pain kept getting worse and worse. It began to feel like he was set on fire. And the racing beat of his heart wasn't helping any. But soon, as the blood began to drip everywhere else, except for in his own body, Seth's vision kept blurring from blackness to reality. His vision fuzzed even more, and he couldn't do anything to stop the raging beast that was tearing into him. One last thought occured to him before he completely passed out. The fact that demons are supposed to be dark, and angels white. This demon was white like an angel. It seemed almost like irony had come to take it's grip in his last breaths of consciousness.

Zac, Kristen, and Rora finally got there.

As Zac flicked his eyes from the mangled, almost lifeless bodies, to the albino rogue, he was shocked. This looked like it came straight out of a horror movie. He'd seen a lot of things, but nothing this gory. After accessing the situation quickly, he immediatley took action. He took the liberty of slamming into the albino's side, knocking himself and the rogue clean off their feet. "Oww..." Zac mumbled, as he tried to get up.

Zac suddenly felt an intense pain as his muzzle was crushed. He yelped loudly and took a step back as Canifis took over. When he asked if they could retreat, Zac tried to say something, but his muzzle was too badly injured for him to say anything at the moment. All he could do was nod his head. He whimpered as even the slightest move of the jaw was painful. But soon, after a few moments, the pain vanished. It still lingered, but he was able to successfully ignore it now. "Yeah. Permission granted." Even if the others ran, he'd still stay. He felt as if it was his duty.

Kristen and Rora heard Alec and ran towards the two victims.

Canifis watched for a second. At first confused himself, he smirked as he started to understand Zac's plan. He started darting around in the opposite direction. Nipping at the rogue's side and clawing at his feet. Unable to lock on either target, the crazed brute just took the blows and watched them circle, occasionally snapping at them, only to land the bites on air. His eyes darted to the two wounded humans, Alec and his other two pack mates where taking care of them, and they were almost in the clear. Just a little more time...

Alec followed them close behind, keeping an eye on the 'fight' to warn them if things turned bad. 'These two are insane. Even out numbered they stand no chance against Kree. I know from experience.' He thought to himself. He was hesitant about leaving them at first, but again... what could he do? "C-coming!" He glided after and watched after the unconscious humans as their lives hung delicately in the balance...


Snap! Biting the air, the albino lycan grabbed for an ear, but barely missed the tail of one of them. The brown one. It whirled around and landed a paw on his face. He shook his head slightly and let go. Watching them circle again. The smell of blood was leaving the air as it dried on his muzzle and the two victims left. Left? He whirled his large frame around and looked for them. 'Gone. Both gone. Blood was gone.' The smell was all but gone. But it was still there. And now he wanted more. "YOU'LL HAVE TO DO!!" He bellowed as he lunged for the black wolf but landed on the brown one's back. His new victim roared in his ear and tried to turn and bite him back, but the way Kree had a hold of him had him immobile. He roughly slammed him on the ground and bit down harder, crushing some of the spine he managed to grab...

It didn't take Alec long to get ahead of them. 'Friend of theirs?' he wondered when a wolf tailed deer pelt came into view. The antlers were down low as it's wearer appeared to be searching through the grass. He appeared in front of the strange lycan. "HEY! We said we need help!!"

The antlers went through Alec as they were raised by the dark and light brown werewolf, raising it's head in a startled manner to see who was addressing him in such a way. In his shock he dropped some herbs. "Oh, now look! You're lucky that you're dead already! If the antlers hadn't killed you I would've! It takes so long to clean thes-" He stopped short when he noticed the two females approaching with the wounded humans on their backs. He sighed and turned to go down a cave nestled tightly under a large oak tree. "This way then."


The sound of his vertebrae cracking and snapping rang through Canifis's ears. He wished for a moment that he didn't have the inhuman ability to regenerate so fast. The curse won't let them go numb when they're injured in certain areas like a spinal cord injury, so the wound knows it must heal. Every fraction of a second felt like eternity and the pain in his back was unlike anything that he'd ever felt before. He roared in agony. The cry was more human than animal, and it probably would've deafened a human had one been standing there. His eyes watered tears, as he felt his back water with blood trickling down his sides.

He was cursing in his head and praying that the pain would just disappear, when Zac's re-healed muzzle was put to the test, and his prayers were answered.


Kree jerked and gagged. The black lycan actually managed to grab hold of his windpipe. Letting go of the brown lycan's back, he tried to turn, or move at all, but it was useless. He wasn't able to reach with a paw, and of course with his head in such a manner that he had to gasp for breath, he couldn't bite his attacker.

"K-keep... hanging on... Zac! Tighter!!" The prey gasped from the ground. Kree wanted to shut it up, but as he moved to bite again, he forgot somehow about the hold around his throat, and ended up cutting his own air off more. The world was going black, and he felt himself start to loose consciousness...

Kristen and Rora nodded. They quickly followed the shawolf, knowing they were running out of time. You could already see part of their spirits beginning to drift away from their bodies. It was only a matter of time before the spirits completely seperated.

Zac wasn't going to be able to hold on much longer, and just as it seemed he was about to win, something caved in him. He let go, just as the albino was ready to give up. He didn't know what caused this, but for some reason, he was almost forced to let go. He was ready though if the albino lycan came back to. He had his jaws ready, and his claws out.

Alec 'stood' in the small space. Not worried about taking much up for the could always stand in him if need be. There were was a bed of leaves by a wall that he assumed the shawolf used for sleep, and a second that was on the opposite side of the room. Did he live with someone else? "If you must know, I once had a mate. She's gone now." The wolf said with a huff yet with sadness as well. Alec's eyes got big, 'Can he-'

"Do you really want to waste time wondering about such trivial things? Well come and lie the two boys on the beds." He added to the two lycans. As they carefully made their way inside, Alec watched as he made a circle between them and gathered some more herbs and weird smelling things. He scribbled some strange symbols in the dirt and started muttering something as he applied the weird smelling stuff to Seth's severe injuries. When he saw Alec staring at him, he said, "A little prayer goes a long way. You might want to go outside. It's gonna get weird in here." he started working on Korey's wounds, "And especially for a spirit, dangerous. I don't want your soul attached to a body and kill their own." Sitting in the circle and among the symbols between them, he turned to the other two lycans, "You should probably join him. I'll inform you right away on when it's a success."

As much as he wanted to argue so he could watch, he wasn't going to be foolish and risk the human's lives over something pointless. He just nodded and backed through the tree and left. Staring at the bark where he just passed through, he thought about what the shawolf said, "...when it's a success." Does he have that much faith in himself, or does he just KNOW that it'll work...? He turned and sat against the oak. 'What ever his reasoning, I HOPE it works.'

'What is he doing?!!' Canifis pondered. 'It's unconscious, but still alive... it could come back and finish the job later, or do someone else in!' The rogue fell to the ground with a THUMP, and he wanted to argue the alpha's decision, but the sharp pain in his back reminded him he was in no position to question what had come to pass. And he remembered the two victims... "Are... you sure about this?" he asked shakily and struggling to get back up on his feet.

Rora put Korey down as the shawolf said. She stood over the human, feeling sorry for him.

Kristen did the same, and set Seth down on the other set of leaves. Now she felt sorry, not only for the human, but for the shawolf as well over his lost mate. She turned to leave as soon as he commanded it. She wanted to stay and watch, but didn't dare argue because that wasn't really her nature.

Rora saw Kristen and Alec leave and figured it was no use to try and stay. She followed them out, tail a bit lower than normal.

Zac shook his head, shocked at what he just did. "Not entirely..." he paused, looking over the white lycan's body. "Something came over me.. Almost like a voice in my head willed me to stop... It screamed for me to let go.. I.." he trailed off. He bowed his head, and held his tail low. He was ashamed he didn't have the guts to kill the albino. He began to saunter towards Canifis, not letting himself meet his fellow pack member's eyes. "Are you okay?"

Alec watched the two lycans walk out. The dark brown female wasn't hardly out before weird smoke and chanting came from inside. He turned and looked inside the entrance. A paw of the shawolf over each human. He could see their spirits hovering over their bodies, but the forms looked so faint, he could hardly tell it was them. As he chanted he slowly lowered his arms and the souls seemed to struggle at first. Like they wanted to be done with the mangled bodies. But the bodies were healing! He stared in shock as the wounds slowly but surely started to close.

He suddenly started to feel a strange force pull on himself. Terrified for a moment, he grabbed the brown wolf's leg and held on tight! "Don't mind me!" He called pulling himself behind her and closing his eyes.

As hard as he tried to hide his agony, Canifis gritted his fangs and stood on limp paws. "Yeah... I'll be fine... Let's catch up with... Rora and Kristen... I'm sure they went to see the shawolf. He's the only one able to handle this situation." He limped a few steps, each one causing pain, but a little less pain. He glanced at his disappointed leader. And felt ashamed. "You showed compassion... you had him right where you needed to finish him off... and you let him live. He may come after you again. To take that risk... I don't understand it, but I trust your judgment. For all I know, maybe you saw something in that insane hide worth saving. Only time will tell."

Kristen watched as the shawolf began to perform the magic. She saw the souls over the human bodies. Somehow, the bodies were healing... As much as it seemed impossible, the gaping wounds were closing up like zippers.

Rora looked down in surprise as Alec clung to her leg. She laughed slightly. She just stood still, but turned in the same spot to be able to see the action. She didn't bother shaking Alec off because she honestly didn't mind him being there.

Zac sighed. "I guess you're right..." he paused for a long while. "But if that thing ends up hurting anyone or anything else, I swear I'll rip it to shreds next time." He growled slightly. He then, seeing that Canifis was struggling at the moment, put his head next to Canifis's body, almost like a support.

As Rora turned, Alec turned with her. It started to feel like someone grabbed him by his midsection and was trying to drag his soul towards them. Kicking frantically at the ground and clinging tighter, her turned himself around and closed his eyes, hoping it'd end soon. He was just glad the wolves still being in body, weren't drawn in as well so he had someone to hold on to.

Canifis smiled at the determination of their leader, and accepted the helping head gratefully. He tried to take most of the weight along with the pain, but he couldn't handle it all at first. They walked like that for a little while following the rest of their small pack's trail until he felt he could walk on his own again. He stood for a moment slowly and moved each leg like he was walking for the first time and trying them out. He sighed with relief at feeling no more pain [or at least it was tollerable] while moving them, and continued. The only thing to do now was hope they weren't to late in arriving when they did...


Breathing raspy and sore, eyes tired and heavy, Kree woke for a moment to see the two victors walk and limp away. He wanted to stand, but his body felt as limp as a dead thing, and as immovable as a mountain. His life was spared this day. No one would have done that. None have even tried. He was always a monster in their eyes. His insanity and mutated impulses were feared and hated by all. Especially that kid that followed him around. His eyes a warm red, he watched them go as he could only wonder... 'Why?'
