If you ever plan to make anything serious with it, yes, it is highly unrealistic and inapprotiate. Spakle characters and evil human enemy are the biggest clitches that can be done in animal story.
Also, your story doesn't seem to make any sense:

Why Kimberly is evil? Because she is human? What is her purpose to "chase them"? Who is she? What is her relationship and reason? Give your villains some depth, reasons and brain too.

Um? So what? This is the whole story? I can see absolutely no plot here. Nothing is explained. Who are those characters? What are their personalities, dreams, fears, plans? How do they change through the story? What are they doing through the whole story? What are their adventures?
See, nothing is explained. I can see no story nor character developement in the description you gave.

...as someone who is also working towards animation, as well as someone who has been into character design/development and storytelling (in various forms) for a very long time, I can tell you that you have a LONG way to go. I also second what Troll said. You'll probably outgrow this idea LONG before you gain the means and ability to actually make it into a series, or at least you'll make SEVERAL changes to it. Trust me.

While I am currently in the process of revising this topic (I've gotten through editing three of the five sections), I think even what's just there now could help you out a bit with your OCs and story. I'd suggest giving it a read when you find the time.

I feel you came off a little rude. Just because you don't think it's a good idea doesn't mean you can go off saying that this is a stupid idea. If this is what she's into then by all means go for it. You shouldn't have got in like that saying that. This is a just a fun little story that she may just start off on and make it a learning experience. Give small suggestions, but don't walk all over people like that.
